Typical numpties who couldnt wait to say they told us so I see!

Ever kissed a girl lads?:D

The bigger issue is that a rider has found himself unemployed,  temporarily at least. I feel for Max Clegg and hope he gets a new club soon.

On the other hand, it's good to see Alfie back. He was a highlight last season.

Before you get carried away with name calling lets look at the sequence of events :

1. In November 2017 the BSPA decided in their wisdom at the AGM that Ben Morley and Zack Wachtnect could be assessed their 2016 averages. Any club could have signed them on those averages (even Ipswich) but Lakeside did.

2. Whatever one thinks of the rule the fact is that Lakeside according to their statement obtained written confirmation  from the BSPA that the riders could be signed on those averages.

3. More than two months after written confirmation was given the SCB (a.k.a  Neil Vatcher ) decide to delete the rule. Now why has it taken 10 weeks, almost to the eve of the season to get round to this ? What has Vatcher been doing in the mean time ? Who has been pulling his strings ? If the rule was wrong why did the SCB not overturn it straight away instead of waiting until until almost the eve of the season when a settled team was fully signed and Max Cleggs alternative job options were limited ?

I would suggest that instead of calling people names it would be more productive to look towards the sports administrators who once again have shown they would have difficulty holding down the post of events organiser at the local brewery.

This of course follows Lakeside first of all being told they can sign Nicholls and Kennet , then being told they cant.

Neil Vatcher has form on this kind of thing. He is a law unto himself. You should be grateful you've got two months to sort something out. Last year it was agreed in JANUARY that as Belle Vue hadn't declared to be running at the time Steve Worrall signed for Newcastle, then the diamonds would have priority over his services. Roll on FOUR months to May and less than 48hrs before Newcastle are due to visit Edinburgh, HE decides that Belle Vue have priority. What's more... He didn't even have the decency to tell Newcastle that this was the case.

Firstly - I was responding to the name calling not doing it.....

Secondly - dont disagree at all with the assessment of the lack of competance in the decision making and timescales

Thirdly - I am only too aware of the situation with Scott and how he feels about it too!!

Will lawson be missing??? Somerset also race on good Friday

Plenty of time for Vatcher to stick his oar into this debate as well. You have to wonder tho. Nowhere near as many fixtures as last Year. Fixed race nights. A management meeting to avoid clashes, and yet 2nd week of the season and someone will have to use a guest because of doubling up/down.

agree with the points you make

but this is the bspa were talking about who change the rules at will usually to the advantage of 1 off there members teams

this is why they rules and everything should be policed by independent pannel

So last season we tried to sign Paul Hurry and the goal posts were moved, this season we wanted Scott Nicholls and Edward Kennet and the goal posts were moved, so we changed the team and now the goal posts have been moved once more.
