Bagpuss 10,757 Posted November 19, 2017 Why do we get this impatient nonsense every year? Find something interesting to do for the weekend and Monday morning will arrive much quicker.

Midland Red 2,383 Posted November 19, 2017 (edited) Isn't a big part of the problem having the two separate factions (Premiership and Championship promoters) pulling in different directions? One league, all pull together in the same direction Doubling up/down just has to go, it has caused so many ills in our wonderful sport Get rid, go big league Edited November 19, 2017 by Midland Red
g13webb 4,254 Posted November 19, 2017 I think the whole AGM scenario is utter nonsense. We get this every single year. Why cant we have all our rules set in stone, then they would only need tweaking every year . What's the betting, come next November, it will be all changed again.... Baldyman 6,243 Posted November 19, 2017 All rules should have say a 10 year cycle, that way every club knows them and can build around them.

racers and royals 8,712 Posted November 19, 2017 I don’t notice the Poles,Swedes, Danes, etc changing rules, regulations and names of leagues each year. Posted 2 months ago Svemo presented the new rules for 2018 and there is a substantial amount of changes. Rule changes for Elitserien: 8 teams. Guest riders are scrapped Elitserien squads will consist of 8 riders that have an average of 0.501 or higher. Heat 11 as a reserve heat is scrapped and heats 12-14 will now be heat 11-13 where heat 14 and 15 are nominations heats.Heat 15 will be the same as it is now but heat 14 will be what the old heat 15 was (when we had 16 heats). A nomination heat for those riders (including reserves) that are not riding in heat 15.* Reserves have three scheduled mandatory heats. They are not allowed to be substituted. Max 5 heats for reserves, 6 if used for R/R. Reserves can replace a regular rider twice at the most [not sure what this means]. No team will be relegated during seasons 2018-2020 but Allsvenskan teams can apply for promotion but will have toshow that they have financial order as well as a track that have sufficient standard for Elitserien. The average discount for riders below 21 will be removed
stevebrum 6,820 Posted November 19, 2017 You'd think the Championship promoters would want set race nights for the Premiership to stop any clashes with doubling up? Agreed. They should yes. The doubling up necessity should mean both leagues should be singing from the same hymn sheet. Doubling up is here to stay whether we like it of not because there aren't enough riders (who want to ride here) to fill all the team spots. Hopefully self interest of clubs will be kept to a bare minimum this AGM.

Does this mean a few of them read this forum or was the feedback from elsewhere. Anything to get rid of the faffing about and time delays will be appreciated.
