There are haves and have nots. This rules was clearly put in place so that the haves share their top riders with the have nots. Only fair and should be applauded.

As a bank holday and a day that Poland dont ride, I should imagine it will be a full league program as usual.

Absolute BS. The majority realised they could screw over Swindon and Wolves so voted in that rule. Would have loved to have seen the Poole reaction if you had been forced to split up the turbo tw@ts a few years ago!

Swindon didn't want the restriction on the number of riders over 8 points nor did they want Monday & Wednesday's. Wanted to avoid Wednesday's due to Denmark which seems fair enough to me.....most of the Danes on twitter have said similar.

No mention of new stadium!

We will see if the "moaners" or the Well Done BSPA brigade are right, by the simple method of looking at if these proposals bring some old die hards back or even a decent smattering of newbies who attend a few times and build up the UK fanbase. Hmmm. Proof of the pudding and all that....

Nah the moaners will just find something else to nitpic over. Regardless. I'd rather attract newbies to the sport than some of the bile filled fair weather fans who justify it on here with negativity. Free world though i guess.

The only way of attracting new people is pricing and promoting. The rule changes don't effect much in that regard but the running issues of the sport have been improved and that's undeniable . Be interesting to compare 2018s guests figures to that of 17. This tactical rule is better than it was? Teams are no weaker?

Next things on the agenda Is how to promote the sport better (that's something fans can help out with if they wanted) and how to set a price that is fair.

Surely it will be a full league program for the Championship though... in line with the fixed race days.

Swindon already have concession for Thursdays - how many more days are going to bleed over?

Some results defied logic last season so does it really matter whether you have 2 x 8 pointers or 1 x 8 and a bit stronger down the order.

Im sure that Swindons win last year was as much to do with low average riders performing way above their average.

The worst agm ever ..they take a step forward by going to set race nights giving them a chance to bring better riders in. then they take it away by only allowing one rider over 8 .yet again when Poole see teams with an a advantage along comes this crap rule .You have a points limit if teams wants to go top heavy then that should be allowed to . it's bad enough for swindon losing Thursday's but not having Doyle or morris will kill there crowds .it fact the league might lose the world champion completely .And finally the worst thing of all time bringing the stupid and unfair old ts sub rule back ..no doubt they must have listened to the fans over 60.Double points was Mickey mouse this is far worst what a joke .

Agree - except the bit about Poole - It was done by majority. Some brown envelopes (or bricks) may have been exchanged but that would just be speculating.

I thought the main reason for fixed race nights was to encourage some of the top riders to return, and have more control on DU's, Guests and R/R. There was talk of making the two leagues equal in numbers, with the emphasis on the top division. but none of this has been achieved...

Rather than investigate why clubs refuse to join the Premier league in an effort to make it stronger, the BSPA seem hell bent, on creating as many opportunities possible, for the riders to earn more pay cheques, at the expense of everything else. I sometimes think the riders are more important than the fans...

Wouldn't surprise me if they create a third league soon so riders can join three clubs...

Selecting Wednesdays as race nights has all but concluded any business we may have had with Danish riders,,, and this '1 over 8' is merely a deflector (stupid Rule) to hide some of the more obvious faults to come from the AGM... With no talk of restriction on the number of Double Uppers, it appear the championship sides have a free hand to pick who they like.

I was hoping this was going to be a new beginning......... am wrong again......

Poole actually voted for making up the team as promoters see fit. With Belle Vue unable to vote the bottom four voted for only one above 8 so riders would be fairly distributed. Poole, Swindon and Wolves outvoted.

Magic was a possible return to Poole in 18. Not now.
