It will be in our best interests to push for the Play Off SF to be ran before the end of the month.

When the new October averages are effective, Dan will probably be 4th in the list, meaning we can’t have a guest, only R/R. When you think at the minute we could have Aaron Summers to guest for him, Rider replacement with none of the top 2 being able to take a ride would be much weaker.

Totally agree Marksman. Unless we run the home meeting v Lakeside on or before the cut-off date of Sept 23rd, Dan will be 4th in the averages (6.79), after taking into account today's result and the fact that the averages for Oct are based on a reduced figure on 20 meetings. Rene Bach will be at number 1 also, if we don't run against Lakeside by then.

No chance we be riding Lakeside before the 23rd. Looking like Newcastle KOC on Friday then Scunny Saturday night

Yeah heard that tonight as well. No guarantee that the Lakeside meeting would have made any difference anyway, but not running it stops us getting a guest for Dan  alone after the end of September.

The cut-off for the monthly green sheets for the averages which is always the 23rd of the month and effective on the first of the following month

When the date of our Shield S/F being the 22nd I thought that was because you were leaving your main race night Friday 21st free for your Play-Off S/F. You also have the 28th & 29th free before the team averages change.

But only riding the league meeting before the 23rd can impact the October line up and Bewleys position within it

Whether its  r/r or guest for him could be pivotal to results particularly away from home

Hence why it is best to use the available dates of 21st, 28th & 29th while Bewley is still 3rd in the averages & can use guests. On & after the 1st is when Bewley might move to 4th in averages when r/r can only be used if 1 rider missing.

Another Friday night meeting arranged at short notice...no good for me when I don't finish work until 7pm.

I just wish that things could be kept simple and meetings arranged on official race nights. I still can't comprehend how we have got to the middle of September and teams are scrambling around to fulfil fixtures that should have been raced months ago.
