Don't think any decision is made on next year but I'd guess they'd want the crowds to improve a little to do the same next year. If Brandon was saved then the club would come back, why wouldn't it? Either Horton would run it and not lose money or sell it to whoever is interested in running both sports in the stadium. Horton is willing to sell.

So...nothing is being done at all then in reality?

Why would the developers hand over Brandon when they can play the long game. They can leave it derelict for years, just like Cradley, Powderhall and long Eaton. The best hope for the bees is finding a new site.

Quite right, Galliard Homes let Wimbledon run into disrepair over a number of years until it was cheaper to pull down then to refurb. I can only see big business doing the same thing to Brandon.

The one thing Coventry do seem to have is councillors on their side, which means in my opinion. Brandon will never see racing again but a return to the borough is not entirely out of the question.

The situation at Oxford is very similar. Just sit back and watch the place fall down. A compulsory purchase would cost a fortune, without the additional repairs and refurbishment. Speedway and dog racing are two sports on their knees, you would have to be a lunatic to invest in such a project.

Now we are likely to have greater protection over Brandon a new site might need to be available for us to use if houses on Brandon is ever granted. Also BE would likely have to pay for at least part of it, maybe even all. Might not be worth it for them when they've had bids of several million pounds from people wanting to keep it as a motorsport venue.

So, what's the story over Coventry v Stoke being ppd? Coming after Coventry v Buxton ppd, should we be reading more into this?

With cov v Buxton postponed with an excuse of electrical fault at the stadium or Buxton unable to field a tean, then postponement of the Fours the following week, bells started to ring. Cov v Belle vue went ahead with no show from Mick Horton, now Cov v Stoke postponed through lack of availability of stadium, although this fixture, like the others , has been on the agenda all season.  There needs to be more clarity on these  regular postponments or maybe more truth in the reasons given by this promotion. They plead for more support then treat the faithful fan base, as small as it may be, with blunt statements.

I'm surprised that anyone expected anything different.  The Coventry fans want nothing more to do with Horton ,that was made very clear at the beginning of the season. We can only hope this latest disappearance is a permanent one.

Let’s face it Coventry at Leicester was never going to work, especially with Horton at the helm, I went to the Birmingham meeting there and I’m not joking when a say there wasn’t 100 Coventry fans there,

Nothing sinister from Buxton's point of view. We had guests booked and were ready to ride.

Well they don't know everything do they?. The team are paid at every home meeting in cash as has happened since Ken was in charge at Buxton. They were paid at our last home meeting against Belle Vue and will be paid again on Sunday when we ride our next home meeting against B'ham.
