so will this mean scotty will finaly ride workington

he was booked years ago to do a few match races with a couple of comets riders

he never rode the offical reason given was it was a very cold night and they just wanted to get the meeting over and scott promised to return to earn his fee

hasnt happened so far

lets see if he returns with a team or they use r/r if he does actually sign for a championship team

He's been confirmed along with Tom Bacon at Peterborough

I think it's more likely the threat of lawyers and going to the Court of Arbitration that the change was made

He would have won hands down at an industrial tribunal.

THE attempted rule was illegal and never accepted by the SCB but the BSPA stubbornly refused to accept the inevitable until now. It wasn't changed to fit Scott as it was never implemented in the first place.

Was it illegal for all the other years the rule existed??

No. But this year it was because it was applied to riders of equal standing in a differing ways.

It's easy. Apply the bloody rule or not. But do it to everyone.

The rule used to be no riders above 6 in top league can double unless they already had a lower league average.  This year's was no rider above 6 can double unless already has a lower league average.     Looks the same to me.

No, it used be that no rider with a top league average over 6 could ride in the lower league at all.

The difference seems to be that they were already 2nd tier riders and not one wanting to drop down, not having ridden there.

That's what I said...but Alan says no..but proof says otherwise

Sloppy posting on my part. I was talking about riders dropping down who, until last season's change, wouldn't have had a 2nd division average and therefore wouldn't have been allowed. As far as being the same rule goes, the wording has changed with nearly every issue in the last few years so little wonder that everyone struggles to keep up, although last year's free for all was the major cock up which caused the situation of the last few months.
