Rye House is Wednesday I believe.

Swindon Mondays and Thursdays. Be interesting to see how many Thursdays they get away with.

As many thurs as possible as I go to synchronized knitting on some mondays

I fail to see what is difficult for some to understand about fixed race nights.

Whichever night is selected as the 'preferred' night, all clubs will have some home meetings on either night during the season (with Swindon also on some Thursdays).

Some weeks it may be a Monday, other weeks a Wednesday!!:blink:

Crikey, its not rocket science!!  (Unless you're at Rye House of course - you see what I did there?!):D

If a track has to go to Swindon on a Thursday and they have riders that also have a Championship meeting that night, surely the Premiership clubs have to get priority otherwise this is a big advantage for Swindon facing depleted teams

Have not yet seen anywhere how the priority works in this case.

Don't know what will happen, but Championship clubs should not be affected by Premiership deciding to let Swindon do as they please.

So Premiership clubs would have to suffer because Swindon can't fit in with the rules the Premiership have set..

They should only be allowed to run Thursday's against teams that are not affected by clashes of dates with Championship meetings.

Why? It makes much more sense for every team to stick to their required race night. For example if Somerset's race night will be Wednesday as expected, they should ride all home meetings on that day. When they meet other Wednesday night tracks, for example Poole, then in that week Poole will not ride a home meeting. It will be a nightmare following a team chopping and changing from mondays to Wednesday every week. It's not rocket science!

That would be ideal providing the teams are equally split between mon and wed, but if 6 teams ride on the same day then there probably is not enough weeks in the season for them all to ride on the designated night.  As well as this if we have another bad year of scheduling and lots of rain offs then the alternatives will need to be used.  It will be a bit difficult for some fans to chop and change home race nights.

When it was announced that Swindon would be allowed to race on certain Thursdays the phrase "protected Thursdays" was used, suggesting that these would be nights when only they could run to avoid clashes with SGBC meetings.

There's so few fixtures in the SGBC this year that it would seem an easy job to have frequent missing Thursdays such is the wretched state of the Championship schedule this year.

THE original nights, as the BSPA informed the FIM, were Mondays and Thursdays but that was changed because a number of CL tracks objected.

Should have waited till Promotions agree before making such decisions, once again self interest rules among some Promotions

Not only did they object but 2 of the clubs even threatened not to run if they had to lose their Thursday race day!!
