Can’t you all predict Swindon for the wooden spoon ?

It worked last year.

This just shows what can happen....I went Poole last season and have got to again, with that line up.But Anything can happen in speedway.

Hope Lynn can do a Swindon in 2018

I agree.  The team that finished top of the pile with a run of 17 straight wins during the season. :t:

Just had a proper look.I know teams will change, but how it stands now.

Poole. On paper says it all

Swindon.  Bellego is a risk for me.But Ellis on a bargain.

Wolves.  Good at home.OK away

Leicester.Very strong at home once dialled in.Might struggle away early season..

BV.Home  (very fair track for all). Will pick up some points away

Somerset .Again good at home. A few away points

Rye Great  at homeThe odd point away.

Lynn. should win most at home. Can't see many,if any away points.

from 2007 till 2015 we were the whipping boys of speedway, so to top the league in 2016, and finish in the top 4 in 2017 is some improvement, hopefully this season we can come away with the bacon.

You were in the final in 2015???

In the good old days I'd agree. Thankfully that no longer applies. B)

Surely BV have chocked in the last few years?

Lost 2 finals in a row and should have won last year.

2015 Gogglegate

2016 Woffygate

2017 Freddiegate

2018 ?????gate

Belle Vue will not win the play offs, officialdom will see to that.

Should be who ends up top is the league winners. Is a few pay days for a few clubs worth more than a league winning side ending up 4th.Where else would this happen.

This is  what I dislike about the Play--off idea.   With Wolves two swedes injured, the final was but a mockery and bared little resemblance of the season as a whole.

For this Play-off idea to have any credit at all.  why not let the teams in the PO carry the points gained through the season  and add onto them.   At least this way  the winner then would be the team that deserves it most, and wont be determined by accidents and/or injured riders..

The Play Offs should not be over 2 legs. Semi Finals should be 1 v 4 & 2 v 3 with the final being staged at the venue of the team that finished higher in the league. This would reward the team that did best in the league which ought to be the case.

Certainly has some merit. The key with the play offs is to time your run of form and stay injury free.

Injuries will always have a bearing in any result no matter what system you come up with.
