WalterPlinge 657 Posted January 26, 2018 So the Premiership Shield is reverting back to its proper old format this year of League Champions v KO Cup winners, instead of the recent silly format of League Champions v Poole. But one odd thing is that it's now listed in the fixtures as "Charity Shield" Now didn't the FA have to change the name of the equivalent football competition from "Charity Shield" to "Community Shield" because the total gate receipts weren't going to charity and therefore they weren't allowed to bill it as a charity event? I'm guessing the gate receipts from Belle Vue and Swindon aren't all going to charity, so could the BSPA be in trouble for using the "charity" tag?
