The terrible stench of precedents was set when Poole called off a match against Lakeside a few seasons ago because of 'potential to damage ones business' all because you were missing riders. No precedent has stunk as much since.

Calling off matches days in advance is wrong although it would appear a necessary evil for some although why this is going to entice anyway to bother travelling to watch the sport is beyond me. No wonder crowds are down.

The forecast for the whole of easter was dreadful in all areas so it's no wonder 19 matches got called off. If you really believe the forecast was 'reasonably promising' you most certainly are the only one reading it that way.

So probably an early call off for Wednesday at the motorcross track then. Your predicting skills are dreadful.

Better than your promotion. Calling off a meeting yesterday when it was dry the best part of the day stinks the sport out.  Last nights meeting could easily have run and you know it.

Look what they used to ride in. Now I am not advocating a return to riders coming out racing in this, but the slightest threat or possibility of rain in the next few days and the postponed signs go up. Not acceptable.

Call it a nice gesture. Doesn’t have to do it.

Like it’s a nice gesture to charge all 5-11 year olds £4 to get in and get some cheap egg that cost about £1

Doesnt have to do it but still happy to do so.

Only £4? Bargain. No wonder so many kids come to Poole.

As already stated you know nothing about what the weather was like up here yesterday, we had heavy rain overnight and there were showers and drizzle well into the evening, had they not called it off in the morning Belle vue riders and their supporters would have had a wasted journey. There's not a chance the meeting would have gone ahead, believe me CVS would not have cancelled a bank holiday meeting lightly

Well considering that Thursday has high pressure over the country and no rain forecast, it stinks to be honest.

Couple of days ago though. Once it stopped raining that could be removed pretty quickly with a guy with a pump.

Eh? How on earth is £4 too expensive? Costs more for a Costa and biscuit.

Looks like even the base has washed away - note the inside kerb floating

The rain only got heavier in the last 2 days so in that picture the track is probably significantly better than it is now!!

No way of getting that into shape for Thursday even if we had 2 days of sunshine and a 30° heatwave IMO

So you think calling meetings off days in advance is acceptable, when the forecast is reasonably promising?

It’s a terrible precedent to set, and one that was unheard of until recently. Two days in advance because there’s a risk of rain? You are having a laugh if you think that’s acceptable.

Anyway its dry in Poole with sunny periods with the risk of an occassional shower this morning. No problem. Tomorrow showers in the morning dying out to give a dry late afternoon and evening. Unless the forecast changes there’s no reason why it shouldn’t go ahead.

Matt Ford is giving the first 300 kids through the gates a free easter egg. Nice gesture from the club.

A fantastic effort from a modern day Wonka.

Forcast for Poole tomorrow has slightly improved, but we need a completely dry day today, and still the forcast to go our way tomorrow. It will still be very difficult for Glyn to get the track up together tomorrow if the forcast stays as it is and we have no sun nor a drying wind, Glyn will know, in those circumtances you will be flogging a dead horse. It will not dry out even to get an inside line. If it doesnt rain, you give yourself half a chance, even with no drying wind, depending on how slushy the track is. because you cannot put machinery on that track like that, otherwise you will pull everything up in the tyres.
