That is because he was against Swindon ;)

Then anything less than 55 points for Swindon on Wednesday has to be a failure, right?

Early days mate, im sure that average will drop a bit as the season progress's

You may well be right, it will be very difficult to maintain a home average of 10+ but we're not talking about as the season progresses we are talking about Worrall's form now and how many points he would have scored on Monday.

It Is not Poole's fault that they are fortunate to be meeting us now, it is simply circumstance but even so some, a very few, Poole supporters can't just acknowledge the fact but instead make themselves look silly by trying to argue we are not weakened.

Current form?  Think some people are getting a bit excited over an individual opener and one home meeting.

2. Steve Worrall - 1, 1, 1, 2 = 5

Yeh he's in good form granted, and as you say, it will be nigh on imposible to maintain that sort of form. But its still debatable as to how many points he would or would not have scored at Poole. 3 good scores in 8 is not a good average, so you just dont know, he could have scored 10, or he could have scored 6. Who knows..

But at the NSS virtually impossible to replace on current form by RR or guest.

You do realise this is the Belle Vue v Poole thread and that we are discussing his form at the NSS not at Swindon?

So he had a good score against a mediocre looking Swindon team.  One swallow doesn’t make a summer. James Shanes scored a 15 max against Wolves at the start of last year.

Riders do have good meetings. But over the years we know Worrall has been around enough to be a decent second string/third heat leader. That’s his level in the sport. It’s a good level. Most riders won’t achieve that in the sport.

But to suddenly believe he is going to be a big star and score double figures every week is nonesense. Fricke’s going to be number one for Belle Vue this year and is a different class to anyone else in the team.

Stevie has aimed big in the close season and so far has looked to have stepped up a level. What he may or may not achieve is very open to question.  I wish him well in his recovery,  certainly the National side will miss him as let's face it besides Woffy, Cook and Worrall there isn't anyone else considering for the SON particularly at the NSS. Lambert as the U21 a given.

Its like saying James shanes is a world beater after scoring a maximum 15 at the begining of last season for Poole against Wolves. At least ten meetings needed to show a true average. A meaningless 90th anniversary meeting where riders are testing etc and one home meeting against Swindon are not a true reflection of a riders average.

If Kurtz was missing from your next home meeting and someone said " RR will get you 8.08 points " What would to say in reply ;)

No Josh, you don't have to keep telling us.  We all get that you think you're one of the best around the NSS, the trouble is that no one agrees with you.  Least of all, the Belle Vue regular fans who have already replied.

Do we have to keep telling you that your deluded opinion is wrong?

Since 2014 Worrall has progressed from being a National League rider, through the fast track reserve system to his present position where he has the second highest average in the CL, only Nicholls, on an assessed average, is above him and the third highest average in the Belle Vue team. There is nothing in that history to indicate that he has achieved his level and that he will not progress further. Those who have actually watched him at the NSS this year have seen performances which showed that he has made a further step up the ladder and that is why we shall be weaker without him on Monday.

It also shows the paucity of an argument when those making it feel the need to exaggerate what has been said. Nobody has claimed that that he is going to be a big star or, that he is going to score double figures every week. What we are talking about is his immediate form and a meeting on Monday, not what might or might not be the situation in months to come.

Time will tell how far he progresses but there is no doubt in my mind that we have not yet by any means seen the end of his development.

Steve Worrall absence weakens the Aces, anybody argues otherwise is either on a wind up or an idiot

Simple as that really ;)

Steve won't reply  to that because he knows he will be caught out.
