But then you conning the public tonight.... but how do you know that today's illness will allow him to ride this week anyways?

Are you suggesting that isn't sick afterall?

I have no idea how sick he is but a man shouldn’t be stopped earning his living for 7 days because he is ill today should he?

Probably this rule was brought in, the same as the 4 min rule I suspect, as the majority have to suffer for the minority who take the pi$$

Are you Lawson in disguise

people should not judge riders just because they are missing . we all get ill at some point during the year . on the other hand, richard has elderly grandparents and maybe a this   time he is required to be around .

so until you  know for deffo  whats going on , its better to keep quiet instead of speculating .

Looks like another blinder from Doolan. Maybe Summers is working his ticket away from No1.

From a Lakeside point of view you can not lose two in form heat leaders and expect to win away  But well done Berwick any way..From a personal point of view  it was pleasing to see Ben Morley put. In a solid performance with 8plus points..Hopefully tonight's situation with the team will not happen again this season...

I didn’t expect Ben to score many tonight. Happy to be proved wrong. Eight points from a No2 on an away track mis the sort of thing that wins matches. Let’s hope he can keep it going.

Been very impressed with Ben this season looks a more complete rider. Newman posted on his twitter that it’s nice to see the ref not knowing a rule that’s neen around for as long as he can remember. Anyone know what he is referring to?

Warned for jumping the start of heat 14.Bowtell fell off in the restart and excluded.Next restart Newman jumped start again and got excluded from race for 2 warnings.Ref got phone call from pits but still excluded Newman then apologised and let him go off 15 metres which is apparently what Newman must have wanted anyway.Which all proves that nobody anywhere has a clue what any of the rules are.

Jenga in moral high ground irony shocker over light hearted post

Best wishes to Richard if the real issue is a serious family situation as you state

Would the real Berwick Bandits please stand up ! After last weeks meeting I was a bit apprehensive about tonight especially when Bomber and Ulrich where added to the Hammers  line up , but  no need to worry ( well maybe just a little bit at one point ) Berwick got off to a decent start and managed to weather a Hammers fight back and held on for the win and also prevented Lakeside from taking anything from the meeting, . It was another good performance from captain Kev & NBJ with everyone else chipping in with points . There's no doubt that losing Ostergard was a big blow to the visitors but sometimes that's the way speedway is sometimes. Hopefully this Bandits team will turn up next weekend against The Comics .

I predicted 40-50, which goes to show you should never write a side off before the meeting. Lakeside unlucky to lose Ostergaard early on which cost them a point at least.

A totally different Bandits side to last week with Kevin Doolan being the star man.

Jye Etheridge looked to be feeling the effects of last nights crash at Armadale

Not sure how long Lindman has. Doesn’t look at all comfortable and gifted most of his points. I saw him at Edinburgh last night where he looked like a novice. Fifteen year old Leon Flint looked more assured in the second half.

While agreeing he looked woeful at Armadale, his ride in Heat 12 tonight was purposeful and spirited.    He will drop to reserve from May 1st which might benefit both club and rider.
