The rule says he can't race for 7 days. Or has that rule changed?

Perhaps it has been 7 days? Just because he didn't ride at the weekend, doesn't mean the 7 days started from Friday, if the rule that you're quoting is correct.

The rule stats 7 days from the date of the meeting,, not from the first day of illness. So he shouldn't be racing until after next Saturday.

Typical speedway, full of rule benders and cheats.

So what was the reason a facility was granted on Saturday then?

This from the Lakeside website Skipper Richard Lawson, who unfortunately is unavailable due to illness.

Which means a 7 day sit out from the day of the meeting missed

I read he was unavailable because of a family illness - not necessarily him!  So compassionate leave which probably isn't covered by that rule.

Maybe Lakeside should have worded it to say that he was on compassionate leave then. That would have stopped all of this, because as it stands with that statement he should not ride for 7 days.

So why not just put on compassionate grounds in the first place

I think everyone accepts that around births and deaths etc

Everyone seems very eager to get a rider a seven day ban. No doubt the Aces management will enquire as to the validity of his inclusion tonight.
