Swedish Elitserien round 1, 8 May 2018

Recommended Posts

The spring is here and so is the speedway season. The teams have been announced (that always happens at 21.00 CET on Sundays (two days before the meeting)).
The big difference this season is that the heat schedule have been changed. The second reserve heat have been scrapped and
replaced by an extra nomination heat. This means that the remaining three regular heats have been re-numbered to 11,12, 13 instead of 12,13,14.
Someone came up with the not so brilliant idea to adopt the British style with gate draw.

The new heat schedule looks like this: http://www.svemo.se/ImageVaultFiles/id_14025/cf_44/K-rschema_2-15.PDF

There is also no televised meetings in Sweden this year (but still shown on tv in the UK and Poland).
It will be live on speedwayplay.com only in Sweden. I don't know if this is available outside Sweden.

Meetings always starts at 19.00 CEST

I think what Ghostie is saying that either Emil didn`t want to do Sweden this year or he is still waiting to be signed by someone.

R/R for Nicki?

What about tactical substitutions? Allowed when 8 or 6 down this year?

Why is Hampel not riding for Lejonen?  Didn't he sign for them?

The first transfer window opens on 30 May and closes on 7 June which means that Lejonen have to wait until then.
