Knowing the BSPA they wouldn’t have the brains to think that one out lets face the Danes have only raced on Wednesdays for ever and a day

I agree - but how the sport is run you’d not be surprised if it didn’t even crossed there minds .
kelvinht 351 Posted May 11, 2018 Is everyone panicking too soon. There has been no official news about Wednesday teams yet. Buster was quoted as saying NKI would miss only one more meeting (home?). Jorgensen was also mentioned but can't remember what was said. Why sign MPT if he is now gonna miss a load of matches....surely Busted isn't THAT stupid? Daniel Smith 5,660 Posted May 11, 2018 Surely it'll depend if the Danish clubs think the rider's we have are their better choice of squad members. They are also trying to win a league like us.

It is the same every year the bspa do not have a clue how to run the sport. When speaking to Buster about the Chairmanship of the BSPA, he said he would complete his term of office and then he would move over and let someone else have all the problems. No doubt he's had enough of the 'Old Boys Brigade..'. You can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink..... Just about sums up the BSPA .
Hamish McRaker 601 Posted May 11, 2018 Unless those boys' Danish clubs have chosen their teams for all matches in advance right through to end of season, how can their UK employers know how many Wednesdays they will be missing especially when Wenesday is the internationally agreed priority day for Denmark? Sounds like complete horsesh**te to me if a UK promoter claims to know

Remember him saying this at the meeting in January. He did say it is hard work having to travel here there and everywhere, meeting up with different ruling bodies etc.And as you say he said there are still clicks that doesn't bode well for the sport and he preferred and independent person/s to run it. Perhaps he ought to stand aside now and let Chris Louise run it instead. Have it, Chris!!
flagrag 704 Posted May 11, 2018 Leicester wanted to go to Kings Lynn obviously with a full strength side as want to progress in the cup however the date is upto to the home club to arrange. Maybe the KL promotion feel that Leicester are at more of a disadvantage than themselves
Bagpuss 10,779 Posted May 11, 2018 So you are saying that the away side have no choice and have to fulfil the fixture when they are told to?

I always understood the home team offered 3 dates, if the away team rejected them all the BSPA/SCB told both parties when to run it.

Maybe the KL promotion feel that Leicester are at more of a disadvantage than themselves Lets not forget when this fixture was re-arranged you had Vaculik and not Bjerre,so at the time you would have just had a guest for Andersen. And Lynn didn't have MPT,so would have needed guests for Iversen and K.Andersen.It wasn't ideal then, but how recent signings have gone it has certainly made it much worse than what it originally was. So maybe when the the re-staging date was sought and this date came up Leicester jumped at the chance thinking exactly the opposite to what you have said. flagrag 704 Posted May 11, 2018 Tellboy from what I hear from the Leicester club they have offered to change the date a few times and even tried again on Monday but with no success. So Leicester will run with Guest for Anderson and RR for Bjerre so all riders can take a ride
