King's Lynn vs Leicester KO Cup 2nd leg 16-05-2018

Recommended Posts

I am just looking forward to 15 heats of good racing, it's a pity there are several team members missing but hopefully the remaining plus guests etc. will put on a good show. Just hope the rain either holds off or is not too heavy. Come on ye Stars!

It’s fully understandable that many fans are very unhappy with the line ups for tonight but it has to be remembered that Leicester tried very hard to get the date of this fixture changed even as late as the 1st leg but KL would not have it.

I cant see there being a very large crowd tonight so financially could be very bad for the club if poor crowd

Says it all really

I really don't get all the moaning about the team, Buster couldn't get Rory so what other guests could he get that would  be better?  You can't be worried about Wells surely! Leicester reserves are far inferior to Kings Lynn reserves, the team isn't that bad.

Of course it is, it should have been Monday & Thursday for the Premiership and that would have been the end of it.

As per usual the decision was avoided because 3 clubs wouldn’t change race night.

....and one or two others looked the other way?

So just why did Leicester agree to this date pretty much immediately after the the meeting was called off in April.I would say because at that point in time Leicester felt that it was the best time to be able to progress through to the next round.

This date was fixed in the original fixture schedule,  but it was down as a league meeting.   When the original KO cup match was cancelled, this date/fixture was then changed enabling it to be the 2nd leg of the KO cup.    The league fixture that was pencilled in for this date has yet to be announced  .

Still agreed by Leicester?Or did the BSPA say the KO Cup takes priority.Whatever, whether it is league or cup Leicester then agreed to it even before the season had started.

Robin Brundle will learn, as Busters son JC and Rob Lyon before him, there is only one Organ Grinder at Lynn Speedway.  Monkeys change nothing.

It's an Open Meeting tonight isn't it? Some X Select against Y Select? Looks that way. Pity points are at stake or rather Cup progress.

Maybe off because it is too chilly for a May fixture and with the wind chill factor it's only 6c.

Looking at the original line-ups of both teams, the stars would be missing only NKI whilst we’d be missing only Hans Andersen when this date was pencilled in. Whilst that’s still far from ideal maybe some thought that was a fair compromise. At the time anyways.
