King's Lynn vs Leicester KO Cup 2nd leg 16-05-2018

Recommended Posts

Should have been Thursday night racing.Without the Danes there most definitely wouldn't be enough riders. They have really served the British league well over the years and to stop them from riding in the British league would be crazy.

So no NKI and MPT for Lynn

No HA and KB for the lions, is that right ?

Guest for NKI and R/R for mpt allows us to use all bar Lambert and the guest. Should work ok. God knows what patched up team Leicester will bring.

What a pile of sh1te.  Shows how stupid Monday and Wednesday are. Right idea cr@p execution as always by BSPA

By the Championship promoters, not the whole of the BSPA....

Lynn should be ok, NKI isn't up to speed and r/r should pick up 6 or so for MPT.

The Lions are going to struggle though. Hans is going very well and Kenny will have wanted to put one over the Stars.

A hollow win for the Stars for me, and a poor show for the fans that do turn up.. :(

So Buster has zero blame for running on Wednesday's and having 4 Dane's and Lambert having a few meetings in Denmark too???

Which is a separate issue and nothing to do with the point that kelvinht made.

As far as I know Leicester are going with RR for K Bjerre and Schlein for Hans and awaiting confirmation whether King will be fit which should be known tomorrow as making a decision whether he rides in British semi on Tuesday at Leicester.

As another poster has said KL should be having Cook but other guests are hard to find due to other meetings and most Danes unavailable plus some riders who have the night off don’t want a guest booking as already have U.K. Monday and Sweden Tuesday

Only 3 Thursday clubs so on their own could out vote the rest

Perhaps some of those Championship clubs saw having Ipswich  Sheffield and Redcar within their league as a better option rather tgan forcing them into the Premiership (or out of business) leaving the 2nd level depleted to 8 clubs just to bail out the failing prima donnas 'above' them

Wednesday also suited certain top flight clubs whom were careful to let it happen and follow rather than propse and incur the wrath of their peers....

So basically the two leagues not working together for the good of the sport in the UK as a whole.....nothing new there then.

It's not just restricted to Dane's. Our most outstanding rider and local Robert Lambert is also caught up in this. If Denmark pick him he has to go.

We run the risk of losing 5 rider's on our home fixtures.

It absolutely absurd

Sorry, that's pish.

Robert Lambert is an ACU rider, and his commitment is to his home-country club.      Your Danish riders equally have to go back if their clubs are riding on a Wednesday, as their licences are issued by the DMU.

My question would be, why -- if this was clearly going to be a problem -- would Wednesday-night clubs even think of employing one Dane, let alone four of the bacon-munchers?

Britain's clubs met, discussed and voted on fixed race nights.    Live with it, it's called democracy.

Next thing, we'll have people trying to say that, although the majority of the nation voted for Brexit, they didn't really mean it, and can we just do something else......?

Oh, wait....

At least the club announced all the meetings the riders will miss a few weeks ago which is more than we would of had last year and if they are correct there is only two more clashes which is Niels Wednesday and Kasper missing the away Poole meeting. Obviously with rain offs being rescheduled and now having MPT in the team this may change. We have had two great home meetings so far with some of the best racing i've seen at Lynn for a few years against Swindon lets all get behind the team and see what they can achieve this year instead on concentrating on the negatives.

The BSPA  has  always been 'I'm alright Jack' society .  'For the good of the sport' has always been secondary.    Governed by personal preferences,  all votes are tailored to suit ones own agenda.  This is just another illustration of the need for an  independent governing body.

I am in no doubt that it could easily be achieved and financed,   but as always, the biggest problem would be getting the BSPA to agree to it...         Its must be very difficult for the BSPA  to  get any decision right when they constantly bury their heads.
