Really odd this ..Wolves have done really well over years while running on a Monday  other clubs has gone bust or lost loads of money like Eastie who ran on a weekend . But now because Belle Vue don't like running  on Mondays somehow running on a Monday is now  a massive problem for Wolves ?

Your right everything has to suit Belle Vue and their new stadium .

Monday nights were never a problem for Wimbledon when Ronnie Moore was racing!

As a kid going to school, I never had a problem with enjoying the racing and doing my school work so I have never understood why the kids of today can't go racing during the week.

When I was working I went to lots of Speedway and Stock Cars during the week and still was able to do my job the next day. I am now a pensioner but always busy on weekends so I am very pleased the Premiership races on Monday and Wednesday.

I think that two equal leagues running in the North and South would be a good idea with the top teams going into the Play offs at the end of the season. We currently have 19 teams in the top two divisions so 10 in one and 9 in the other would seem a good idea. Top three in each league go into the Play off and the rest go into a Trophy competition which with 13 teams should be split into four groups of 3/3/3/4 and the top team in each group goes forward to Semi Finals run over two legs with the winners going to the final which is also run over two legs.

I do not believe the fans who currently stay away will return as they will always find a reason to dislike the way the sport is being run. I am not keen on the way the BSPA does some things but still enjoy watching four riders of similar ability over four laps and so go as often as I can. To my mind staying away only makes it less likely that things will improve.

Don't be daft.

You've got this dangerous 'us' and 'them' mentality when it comes to the two leagues.

It's about both leagues working together.  And also about neither thinking they're more important than the other one.

That's where you're wrong though - the Premiership is MORE important as it's the top division in this Country. You wouldn't anybody in their right mind say the Championship is more important than the Premiership in football!

You might want to ask yourself why only Wolves had a Monday race night when teams we free to choose.

You might want to ask yourself why the entertainment industry regards Monday as the worst night of the week to get people to attend.

You might want to ask yourself why crowds dropped at the dog track when we had to move from Friday to Monday.

You might want to consider that attitudes to keeping children out late on school nights has changed since clubs like Wimbledon were operating.

You might want to ask yourself why our previous promotion said there was no future for the Aces unless we could build a new stadium and change our race night to Friday

You might want to ask yourself why crowds have dropped so significantly at the NSS this year when the only change is the race night.

You might want to ask yourself if you want to put at risk the future of the NSS.

We only want to race on our chosen race night like, er Wolves. Poole also have their chosen race night and KL did Wednesday before while Swindon have the majority of their meetings when they want them.

As soon as we want the same it’s us being awkward. LOL.

Easy drop down to the championship were you can ride any night you choose and have the largest crowds in that league. That would keep a certain few like flange  happy.

Most places can get good crowds in on a Monday with a bit of promotion and ticket offer of some sorts. Seen plenty of big crowds at Swindon on a Monday over the years, Wolves have always run on a Monday. So it’s clearly not a case of people just simply not wanting to go out somewhere on a Monday evening. The people are out there, they just need enticing in. I don’t get what goes on in Manchester on a Monday night that keeps everyone away?! To be honest I think there’s too much to compete with most weekends these days, in amongst other sports, shopping, household jobs and socialising. Week days might not get much travelling support but it should be fine for a majority of local supporters, which really is the bread and butter of any club.

As orion says, if it was cut and dry case of weekend matches and semi pro riders pulling the fans in each week, National League crowds should be heaving.

They simply aren’t.

There were very good crowds at mildenhall yesterday and Kent tonight. So it's not all doom and gloom.

What is this year's definition of a "good crowd" as in attendance at the Speedway? PL? CL? & NL?

I would say 1500 PL, 1000 CL and 500 NL. I doubt that many tracks are getting those numbers on a regular basis.

It was thought to be considerably less than 1500 at the NSS on Monday night V KL Stars.
