Belle Vue V Kings Lynn Stars 21st May 2018

Recommended Posts

What is it about the organisations that can get their planning so wrong.   This weekend there are 3 qualifiers on Saturday 19th,  and one on Monday 21st.    Surely it wouldn't have be too difficult  to have all those riders programme to race in a Monday league match to be given one of the Saturday  qualifier rounds.    Lynn have been spared this time round  with both  Niels and Lambert doing a Saturday  qualifier, whereas Cook and Friske are doing the Monday one...

Its difficult to prophesise the outcome until we hear about the replacements Belle Vue intend to use.  With Leicester Vs Wolves and  Swindon Vs Rye House on the same night, the choices are few and far between.   One thing for sure, the Lynn Stars won't have better chance of picking up a point or two, on this fortunate opportunity.

You could say all the cards stacked against Belle Vue.  and  Lynn are holding all the 'ACES'   :D     :t:

Was gonna go to this as it's only about an hour from me.

As it's guests again (although not the Stars) will sit this one out.

Guests will be difficult for Belle Vue as there's 2 other fixtures on that night with Leicester v Wolverhampton & Swindon v Rye House.

Was thinking the only way we might avoid defeat to the Stars in this one without Cook & Fricke was if K Bjerre was one of the riders available to step in, which of course he isn't. Await guest announcements with interest...

How come you thought it was funny when Lynn couldn't get a guest for NKI and used Auty for Toft. Now all of a sudden it will be difficult for for Belle Vue to get guests. The same then applied to KL surely.

It's a good job Belle Vue aren't missing Bewley as he is irreplaceable at the moment for Belle Vue especially on his lowly average.

This is crazy the gates are down already this season with Monday nights. With Belle vues top 3 missing for this meeting the place could be like a ghost town just rearrange it for when we can see both teams at full strength.

Yet again British speedway shoots itself in the foot and fans are taken for mugs.

Would prefer them to postpone and rearrange....but this may not be possible

the crazy thing is this is a re-arranged fixture already so the GP qualifier date must have been known always a possibility of some of our riders getting drawn their good job bewley didn't get drawn their as  well :o

The reason I found it funny is that Leicester found suitable replacements for every hurdle whereas Lynn found it such a problem and put the blame on Cookie, unfairly imo.

As so happened Lynn ended up with the better deal which was unexpected. Nobody would of had Auty down for paid 11 which is better than Iversen's form so far.

The way the Stars are riding at the moment , R/R  would always be the preferred option .     Auty likes the AFA and usually scores well.   The difference between him and MPT is minimal .    The biggest factor here was that Leicester were missing all their big hitters which helped Lynn's cause .

My biggest argument was not the issue of riders missing but the club keeping everything a secret.     Strange,  come Wednesday afternoon, we had  announcements and Tweets coming by the bucket load.     All that was needed to be done was a notice on the website, saying we are without Niels and MPT next week, we are doing all that is possible to cover them.      So easy and would have answered all the queries about who was missing and why...

If they had thought of the fans in the correct way,   that should have been the first thing they did, not the last one...

This kind of planning requires common sense and a practical approach to problem solving, all of which is lacking in decision makes at this level. Either they don't "see" it at all or don't care.

Either Buster really believes that he has the right as the promoter to decide what to release and when, or he doesn't really care what the shrinking number of fans think. Is it a case of it's my toy and I will take it away, so there?

Must have missed where Lynn put the blame on Cook.Only see someone post on here that he was riding but not from anyone official or connected to the club i must admit.Where was it the club blamed Cook?

People on here were actually upset that they hadn't heard anything at all.
