Rye House Vs Kings Lynn Stars Mon 28/ 05/2018

Recommended Posts

Well done Rye House although we still cant put a total performance together. Finally Kennett, Summers and a reserve does the business and then Harris looks totally battered and bruised from yesterday, KK chooses the wrong bike and Scotty cant make a gate.Don't be too harsh on Bomber as at least he turned up for the Rockets (not every No 1 does that when they are not 100%)

Give credit also to KL the typical dog that just wont let go of your trouser leg.

I think Lynn may have been denied an away 3 points. I thought 2 terrific 5-1's pulled back for nothing. Obviously thing's were different in the re-runs. Rye made some fliers but nope, Mick Bates anti King's Lynn allowed him to celebrate in the referee's box with home race winners.

Do you know what Daniel,i agree with you, probably not getting 3 points. But having Bates referee a Lynn match you know Lynn are going to be up against it from the start. He has made some belters of decisions against Lynn on occasions.

Master Bates was harsh to Lynn I feel.

Two false starts did look harsh on KL but you conveniently forget that Rye were on a 5-1 when Anderson fell off and oh yes Lambert wins the re-run, whilst you do have a point try to keep it balanced.

It looked like Kasper's foot was hit by the dirt deflector. Given so many times in the first turn. Got 5 points for NKI.

Anderson didn't fall off ............. he was KNOCKED off then excluded  (another glaring anti-KL decision from Bates) ...............  you conveniently "forgot" that tho............ try to keep it "balanced".

Think you have a major problem with Kennett. Star man without a doubt tonight and while knocking him you never mentioned the fact that he rode through the pain barrier after his grass track knee injury. Test Chris Harris who has been a shadow of his former self is excused because he is battered and bruised. Difference between the two is that Kennett doesnt get all over social media telling everyone about mechanical issues and injuries. You also say Chris Harris is a number one ...what is his average this season ?6. Kennett was sacked for under performance perhaps Chris will meet the same fate

Swap Bomber for Scotty, to give Chris a break at number 1.. We all know how much Bomber gives. Something ain't right, but he's better than a 6 pointer. Look at NKI's average for Lynn. About the same

I am happy to congratulate Eddie on tonights performance but to say his seasons performance of an average of 4.33 is just dandy is stretching it. Suddenly you defend Eddie for his current injury, well it hampered him at Swindon (didn't beat an opponent) 48 hours after he beat Morris twice, Ellis and Lawson at Lakeside. Oh and a great score 1 at Poole (didn't beat an opponent at Poole) after he got 11 at Sheffield in the British Semi Final.

No I dont have a problem with Eddie and I also put on record what a great servant he has been over the years but this year he has been all over the place at Rye and I sincerely hope this is the start of a rich vein of form which the team sorely needs.

We may not be the most talented side but you can't accuse this Lynn team of lacking heart or bottle.

Robert makes up for anyone who is lacking a little talent...

Having watched the meeting again ,  one has to say we were very unlucky to come away without a point.  Despite what the expert say, this is not an easy track, and made even worse with little or no grip.  Once a top rider hits the front and stays near the fence the race is over.    The gates became so important, and this why riders tried extra hard to judge them    There were many anticipated starts,  Summers in 1, and Kennett in 3 and 5  could all fall into that category,  so it was unfair to pull back Proctor when he likewise made a lightening quick getaway in 10.  Even Tatum said he could see no wrong.  Kerr in Ht12 made another anticipated start and was pulled back, yet Busk Jacobsen got away with a flyer in ht 14.   It seemed referee Bates was fussy who he wanted to penalise.   The exclusion of Andersen in 6 was harsh, when everybody could see Summers took away his front wheel and foot.  All 4 back would have been an easy conclusion, although I don't think it would have had a bearing on the score... It  merely highlighting the ref's  opinions...

Once Niels had pulled out, we were never going to be in contention to win the meeting,  but knowing the spirit with in the team I thought we might get a point.   We needed the rub of the green to be in with a chance but when Kerr's chain broke, the task became even harder.   Proctor, MPT and Kerr all battled hard to assist the super human effort of Lambert, but in the end it was not enough.    TJ and JA  will have better nights,  but last night, it wasn't to be .     A brave effort though....
