IMO Talk about cutting off your noses to spite your faces ... I can't see Bees getting back into Brandon any more than Cradley getting back into Dudley Wood Road. Interesting. Regardless of your love for the club or sport, why would you chose to give such a person your money? I haven't been to any of the 'home' meetings. I know people that have, and they have confirmed all bar a couple of them have been utter rubbish. Leicester's crap anyway, but a slick, dusty track on Sunday afternoon doesn't appeal to most people anyway. Some people claim that the NL is a breath of fresh air. It isn't. That's why not many people watch it. Riding at Leicester is not a long term plan for the survival of the club. It's a pointless excercise unless it's being done in conjunction with the campaign group's excellent efforts to save the stadium, which it isn't. Oh well, goodbye Coventry Bees, it was nice knowing you.
NeilWatson 1,988 Posted June 1, 2018 It seems self evident that when lobbying for a return of speedway to Coventry (at Brandon or elsewhere) it will carry more weight that the Bees are having to race elsewhere as there is no suitable stadium in Coventry than that the Club is defunct but could be reformed in the right circumstances. Absolutely. As the Save Cov Speedway group have said us riding at Leicester does not hinder what the group are trying to do. If speedway and Stox are not running then it would be difficult to show an ongoing need especially further down the line. It's been said several times this season that Bees in Leicester is temporary, will always be temporary and it's not a replacement for Brandon. We need to be back in Coventry. Also we only have a one year deal. Brandon Estates are trying to say Leicester is a long term solution, Horton and Leicester has rubbished those claims. Also again Leicester is not a replacement for Brandon as it can't run stox and that cannot be emphasised enough. It' not just about speedway.

It would carry even more weight if the current promotion would let the fans know what they are actively doing to either secure a return to Brandon or find a suitable replacement! The season will be over in 12 weeks! what are the plans for next year?
