Poole Pirates Vs Kings Lynn Stars 13/06/18

Recommended Posts

Poole should clean up at reserve Simon Lambert is ok at Kings Lynn sometimes but isn't really good enough at this level, he shouldn't really trouble the scorers and whoever is the other reserve won't be the level of MPT.

Don't think Matt got that sort of money to throw about anymore;)

No-one in UK speedway has but wealthy sponsors could help with a move. Luckily one of Lambert's best ones is local to King's Lynn, so who knows he might stay on.

The Volvo Cars Poole Pirates will honour newly-crowned British champion Robert Lambert when King’s Lynn arrive at Wimborne Road tomorrow night.

‘Ruthless’ Lambert crowned a stunning week for British speedway by romping to an 18-point full maximum the British Final at the National Speedway Stadium in Manchester on Monday.

Lambert’s triumph came just 48 hours after he helped Great Britain to a silver medal behind Russia in the Speedway of Nations event.

Pirates promoter Matt Ford said: "It's wonderful when a new star of the sport comes along and Robert being British makes it even sweeter.

"He has proved he can mix it with the very best in the sport and while his on-track ability is clear for all to see, I’m extremely impressed with his attitude off track, where I feel he’s handled himself with dignity over the past week. Let's hope Robert continues to ply his trade in the UK for many years to come."

Newspapers "Go to bed" so early that it is probable that they were printed long before the British Final started     But they wouldn't  have put it in anyway as they are only interested in Football

Proctor and Palm Toft out tonight plus news of future Danish absences http://kingslynnstars.co/news.php?extend.30646

I just don't get why the management are so slow with these clashes when we knew Monday.

Abysmal way of running the club personally. With regards to the future promise, isn't that what was given before yet Danish clubs (rightly so) are still picking their rider's.

Personally, apart from Iversen the other Danes are replaceable and should be so and then we would be able to move on with a tight knitted team.

With Starke at reserve I would have said makes you stronger, but thinking about it PT has had some good meetings at Poole, so not sure it does!

Starke not in the best of form at the moment . hopefully may it continue

Only Kerr and the reserves can take the r/r rides based on the new averages. Of course one of them might become a Tac Sub?!

If you read the press release it says that Lynn were assured that MPT wasn't required in Denmark and then he was recalled at the last minute, no reason to disbelieve that.

Good to hear that Iversen, Jorgensen and Andersen have no clashes left but one wonders if they can be recalled at the eleventh hour too.

If he was 'recalled at the last minute' why was he listed in the Holsted team line-up for tonight before the weekend?!

The problem is that British Speedway have no rider rights on a Wednesday, Denmark do. Plain & simple.
