FOR a while

Meaning what, since 2017?

Pretty sure Emil was given a spot for the 2017 series without going through the qualifiers?

Not sure that's "a while" or why we couldnt be specific?

I can confirm he didn't do the qualifiers.

Leon needs to be in the GPs.

It seems they make the rules up as they go along to suit themselves, it's like NKI being "first reserve" this year, shouldn't that be "wild card first reserve". We've also still got the daft situation of GP wild cards, who was the Slovenian guy in the last round, completely out of his depth, the GP series is well enough established now to do away with these nation wild cards, if they can't support a GP without one, they shouldn't be staging one, there's loads of places that would/could

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Name 3 then if it is too hard.Vojens don't want to(struggling for funding since the council started pumping money into the local football+ice hockey) and it seems BSI only want 1 in the UK and that is Cardiff,so have another go,this time 3 tracks

So Nz stopped as it wasnt financially viable. They insisted on a local wildcard who was not competitive.

Australia stopped as not financially visble.

US noone has been found who thinks it financially viable. And if they did u csn be sure they would need a wild card- likely to be a rider of potential who would score 00000.

Belle vue should happen, dont understand BSI reluctance.

Iris has answered Vojens.

So we have 1...

Australia and NZ not financially viable at those venues.

USA, perhaps BSI/IMG should run the first few and take the risk to prove it could be financially viable at the right venue.

I don't believe Vojens can't make it pay if the likes of Prague, Germany and Slovenia can.

Anyway, well done to Leon Madsen! It'll be great to see him in the GP series next year

I think the problem is Vojens would host 1 big meeting a year whereas football and ice hockey hold 10 or so league games with the odd derby and some cup games etc.Vojens don’t even enter a team in the Danish league,so is very low profile and maybe there is just no speedway fan sitting high up in the council.Phil Rising has mentioned a few times that Vojens won’t host big meetings

As I have mentioned before the big local team(sports club)was founded in 2004 and is getting lots of backing. The ice hockey team, who I think play in Vojens are affiliated as European clubs do

And an important part of it all was the local government changes which meant Vojens council was scrapped and Vojens found themselves under Haderslev control in 2007

Not sure au/nz viable at any venue? You need a decent stadium. It will likrly therefore need temporary trsck laying. Logistics costs are high.

Guess it would be interesting to know whether bill Buckley would have broken even if no fee was payable to BSI?

Where in the US do you think would be the right venue to host a GP?
