KIDS GO FREE AT SUMMER SPEEDWAY!

Recommended Posts

Well done Leicester...

Hope they take the opportunity to bombard the kids who go with posters, photo opps with riders, car stickers for their parents, get birthday dates, email addresses of mum and dad etc...

You want some kind of long term return for such an investment...

Should be rolled out across the country imo. Kids will get the chance to sample speedway if they dont already go. Adults will pay to get in Kids will want something to eat and maybe a sovenier from the track shop.  meet the riders before the bikes are started One would have thought its a win win situation. Something that happens at Poole every week, the pits are open til 7 pm, riders are very happy to sign Autographs and have photos taken before and after the meeting. We also have a post meeting confrence in the back straight bar where again kids can meet the riders and have photo's and get Autographs signed and is very well attended.

Great..Every club should do it. A few flags to wave, sweets, as said, car stickers to remind the kids to bug their elders, even a dozen air horns to liven things up, that sort of thing..

Spot on BB and Starman..

However you sometimes feel some Promoters have a "build it and they will come" mentality..

And then get shocked that many don't return...

The Sheffield and Leicester promotion appear more Pro active than most so hopefully they will utilise that positive outlook to enthuse some long term patronage from some ex and new fans..

Same at King's Lynn,free for u16's.

Poole seems extremely expensive for kids.Didn't realise any clubs charged for kids of 5 years old.

Every club should at least allow kids of 11 and under in for free. They are the future of the sport and at that age is the time to hopefully get them hooked, before they get hooked on all the other rubbish.

Biggest problem is though how do you attract them once they turn 16 and have to pay . You need to get their mates hooked as well I'd say , if their pals are going they'll want to go too

This is for the entire season.

Aces

Under 12 free

12-17 £7 but it can work out as low as £2 if buying a family ticket.

Colts

Under 18 free.

You would like to think their mates would go along with them while it was free at least. So hopefully all get to like it at the same time.

But then when if they want to go with their mates and not with their parents how do they get to the tracks which are not on a public transport route.

Surely ,  kids (children) are the future of ant sport,  although they have to be accompanied by an responsible adult when younger,  it is the setting of the seed which is the most important part.  Once they have acquired the attraction, there are always a way of getting there.    The desire is the most important part.

It's madness that every team doesn't allow 16 year olds and under in for free every week!
