It’s one of the reasons I no longer follow football the way I once did. I can still name the Crystal Palace FC and Swindon speedway teams that I supported when I was a boy, but try as I might now I can’t keep up with Swindon FC. It’s almost a complete change of personnel every couple of seasons with maybe six players every year on loan from other clubs, using Swindon as a stepping stone. It’s rubbish.
