All this crap deflecting from the result.

What a win! So easy and so classy! Completely destroyed Kings Lynn. Hope Lynn make the playoffs, so we can do it again. Ruthless Lambert? More like roofless Lambert!

You just can’t help yourself

I saw the twitter picture and commented accordingly. I had no idea when the oil was put on the track as the tweet appeared to indicate it was during the meeting so a bit naughty if Robert made out it was.

still, the environmental issue needs clearing up however. Can’t say I’ve even seen oil being poured onto a track so a surprising bit of info all the same.

Yes it was a bit naughty of Robert Steve. It is a well known thing that oil binds shale, it is not dangerous and as its been said it was done after the meeting as it helps bind the shale better when its bladed and graded. To many people on here are again getting wound up for nothing, usual thing, Poole.
I do recall several years ago now when we had torrential rain befor a play off semi a certain teams riders went out on our track and started kicking the duff out of it, and then complained, theres holes in your track, we cant ride... Wonder what team that was ?? Bit of a pattern emerging here, dont you think...

Unbelievable statement.  It might be "their" track ie Poole....but they cannot do as they please. Why do you think riders have to have an oil catcher?  Because dropped oil is not good for the environment. Oil was poured on the track (an "accident" is no defence) so its an offence. Environment Agency should be involved in this, and if oiling the track to bind the shale is being done regularly then expect a heavy fine.

Next thing is it will be said "oil helps keep the dust down".

No mate, water keeps dust down, but like at KL on monday, in this heat its very hard to do. Bowser loads when on our track within 24 hrs to see than its kept right down, and it did.

I’ve never heard of oil being used to bind shale I have to admit.

Ill certainly ask at Birmingham and Wolves to see if it’s common practise as certainly it doesn’t sound great for the environment.

i guess you learn something new in speedway all the time.

How is it an environmental offence? It is their track... They can do as they please.

It might go against the recommended guidelines but it's not against the law to use an oil as a binder.

It is against the law to dispose of waste oil. All waste oil most be disposed of and handled in the correct manner laid down by the Environment Agency. Pouring on your garden, yard, field, race track is totally against the law even if you own or rent the land

wether it was before the meeting, during the meeting or after is irrelevant. Poole trying to pull a fast one, at the same time pulling the wool over all the Poole fans in the process.

Rubbish, you are just talking for the sake of talking. You clearly have no idea whatsoever.. So do us all a favour...Same as many on here just talking for the sake of trying to find something.. Get a life you lot.

As certain Swindon fans have told on many occassions  in the last few months, so its only fair to say,  glug glug glug.

Let's hope bomber ok this morning after that nasty crash last night and also Ty you could hear a pin drop. Perhaps Robert Lambert should just get on with it like bomber does and does what he does best racing speedway bikes just saying:t:

Harris  / Proctor crash from Daily Echo.

C Harris must be made of rubber, some of the most awful crashes I've seen have involved  Harris, and every time he's walked away.............thankfully.

Yep, rubbing our hands, cos one of your home matches is our usual away win four point banker! Can’t wait!  :)

Long before oil catchers on bikes, the oil was dripping from the engines into the track surface. This always helped the shale bind and keep moisture in the surface. Thats where we used to get the infamous 'Castrol R' smell from. Not the engines, but with the shale being moved around.  Its nothing new.

A few points from last night. Best wishes to Bomber, Ty, and Thomas, hope they are all ok this morning.

Proctor gets pulled back for a flyer, quite right, yet Kurtz gets an even bigger flyer, nothing! Really felt for Newman in Ht8. Rode very well indeed, yet some how the referee gives 3rd to MPT on the line.
