The difference will be the contrast of Jake Allen from big tracks to tight tracks. Confidence should be high, though, so let us hope we can keep it tight. A point would be a good result for me.

Jake certainly prefers a larger track but is good enough to get around the tighter ones now,. Sounds like he held his end up tonight for the team on an otherwise difficult night.

Let’s be honest, tight tracks are boring ,most are gate and go to flag,Allen has done very well on tight tracks in Australia (Ipswich) ,as he showed tonite just needed a team

Very difficult to go there and score points on a one off visit when home riders are so dialled in even if he used to ride there, one could argue that his score proves how tricky a circuit Armadale is. Even Cook has posted modest scores there in the past as a visitor.

Just like Poole in the top division Edinburgh look to be revitalised  by a couple of changes and seem to be the team to beat now.

Talk about the highs and lows of speedway, confidence must've been high going into last nights meeting especially after handing out a pasting to Sheffield the night before. Maybe not a win but I doubt many in the Scunthorpe side of the pit would think they were about to get a pasting of their own.

It was only Richie's second meeting and he's got dialled in quickly enough - 2 maximums so far.

Just as we thought our bad luck had ended, here we go again.. I almost made the trip up for this meeting and glad I decided not to. We can still mathematically make the playoffs, but it would mean claiming 4 points from at least 2 of our 3 aways, which will be very tricky as we have to go to Workington and Ipswich. Congratulations to Edinburgh on their win and best wishes to Jase and Gino

Absolutely and credit to him, there will obviously be a few little set up secrets as a home rider and having such a straightforward meeting last week will have helped him settle in. Armadale has traditionally been a difficult place for away riders to score points though, that can't be denied. Especially when the home team are riding well.

The track has been very grippy the last 2 weeks and all the boys like it like that.

Its been too easy this season for teams at Armadale with the slicker conditions as it’s easy for them to get around but now they’re beginning to struggle with the grip.

These landslide victory's must make really good entertainment,  waiting on the racing is actually entertaining reply.

It’s not been entertaining the last couple of weeks no but it doesn’t help when the opposition is awful.

Can relate to this, we had the same thing in our PL days especially 2003-07 when teams couldn't get round our track smoothly because of the grip and when they did make the gate (grippy starts) they would invariably make mistakes and get picked off. Some very good sides were made to look ordinary (75-15 . against eventual champions Sheffield in 2007). Bike set up was very specific too meaning we were often way in front after half a dozen heats.

Eventually it turned into a mental issue for away teams, they were beaten upon driving into the stadium, Carl Stonehewer was the most high profile rider who appeared to not want to know. And of course got a bit boring for the regular punters.

Exactly, and surely that’s the point of it all.

Supporters want to be entertained, that really is the first thing that needs to be sorted, tracks need to prepared for racing not boring boring gate and go processions.

Highlighted by that superb advert for the sport at Swindon last week live on BT.
