Bagpuss 10,685 Posted August 3, 2018 I reckon we can double our money with another 25 points.....got to be looking to win all of our home matches, win big twice at Leicester and then pick a point up at the two best race tracks in the league which should suit our dodgy gating. So you are predicting the Stars are not getting a point from the Oak Tree Arena? Or Monmore? Or NSS?

Wolves away and Poole at home are the two trickiest fixtures in terms of expected points IMO.
Najjer 2,855 Posted August 3, 2018 People can say what they like about Speedway about it dying on it's arse and poor standard of riders etc etc... but when was the last time the top division was so open? Who knows who will make the top 4 and in what order. Has to be the most open season for many a year. Somerset are the only team to remain unbeaten at home but even then have dropped points in a draw. The next few weeks of the season should be brilliant.

Shame about Rye and things need to be sorted this winter but any team can win this season, except perhaps Leicester.

King’s Lynn??
ouch 1,189 Posted August 3, 2018 It would be a surprise if all clubs in a tiny 7 team league were not in with a chance of finishing fouth from bottom around the half way stage.
g13webb 4,254 Posted August 7, 2018 Because the points totals the teams are unusually close together., five teams separated by only 3 points. I can see this going to the wire. Belle Vue's lost last night was massive, 3pts they could ill afford to lose. but other teams can also suffer in a similar way. August should answer a lot of questions... Of the top 5 now, Swindon having played 2/3 matches more than the rest, are looking precarious, but are still very much in it. I'll going to go with Somerset, Poole, Lynn with Swindon edging out Wolves for the last place....
szkocjasid 2,846 Posted August 7, 2018 Gotta be Somerset, King's Lynn, Poole & Swindon as the top 4 now, can't see that changing!

g13webb 4,254 Posted August 8, 2018 The matches, a team has against Poole will have a big bearing on their finishing order.; Somerset still have to play them 3 times, Swindon twice; and Lynn, Wolves and Leicester only once, Those matches, Poole against Somerset, could determine who gets the choice of semi-final selection.
