Poole v Leicester. Prem B. Thursday 9/8/18

Recommended Posts

Hearing that Poulner Hill at Ringwood is shut due to an accident. The main way towards Poole from London and most of the UK. Just had a call from shaleshifter who is stuck in it from Southampton. His gps is saying an hour to get through but if the road is blocked..... hopefully no riders caught in it. Harris would come this way as would most Leicester riders. Fingers crossed they are already through it.

Strange one this,       Why were we forced to race 3 meetings at the start of the year on a Wednesday  without our Danish riders ,   when it appears Thursday is now an option...

Is this another new rule ????

Both teams were happy to fulfill this meeting on a spare week for Poole as Rye are no more. Leicester stronger tonight with guests. Everyone is happy.

They are always crashes there, something needs to be done about it.

Hope Matt will return the gesture to another team, in the interests of speedway and all that ;)

So we can fit our meetings in before the play offs apparently.

Surely that would have applied to every club.      Looking at the fixture list this week there were teams not playing,  who could have been fitted in on the said FRN.     Seems  a bit early to start using Thursdays  on that excuse....       Are we saying then,  that  the closer we get to Play-off's  we can ride on any days just to get the fixtures in  ????

It makes a mockery of the whole FRN shenanigans,       and really puts the boot in on Rye House's battle of survival..

Would love to have gone to  tonights meeting but work and a 600 mile round trip rules that option straight out  .Really enjoyed our visit to Wimborne Rd a couple of weeks ago even allowing for the result. Great Stadium , track and Poole Quay itself was great. What more can you want !

Well tonight the track is not as good as the last two weeks. Seems the track staff were worried about the rain which could have come a bit further west. It’s slick tonight and underwatered imo compared to the last meetings. No dust of any consequence at the moment but a couple of our guys have struggled a little.

If the sump plug has been put back in that tractor, the track will be different I guess ;)

Rained off... Where did that come from. Must of been a big one ?

Rain stopped, track a little wet but not unworkable workable according to someone at the track, with Boo's from the crowd.

Save's  several grand on points money I suppose.
