Cook said last night at Somerset that he was riding for Glasgow because the Swindon match had been re-arranged.

But was re-arranged before he signed for Glasgow

In which case he should 100% be riding for Belle Vue. Bad decision by whoever decided it.

Word has it that he signed for the Tigers before the Swindon fixture had been rearranged so they get priority.  Anyone got the dates?

On what date was it rearranged?

Its a real shame for Belle Vue to lose their racenight when other clubs get to keep theirs through “special dispensation”. It’s even more galling that when we go there WE are the ones forced to miss riders.

Still it’s only Belle Vue.

You would have thought a premiership club would take priority. Having said that Belle Vue must have agreed to the date.

Probably why fans have deserted league speedway in droves. Riders turning out for different teams.

It is crazy to have a Grand Prix rider unable to ride in the top flight because he is riding the in Second Division. It's time for this stupidity to stop.

Of course, supporters of Glasgow will probably call this Division One snobbery, but even they have to see the ridiculous of the situation here, surely.

However, with the rules as they are, the decision should clearly be based on when this fixture was arranged and when he signed for Glasgow. Nobody seems clear which was first. But he should never have been allowed to sign for Glasgow in the first place.

What a F'in joke this Cook saga is.

Should be riding for Belle Vue. He has been at Belle Vue since the start of the season so they should get priority.

Belle Vue are being penalised because one of there riders wants to earn an extra pay packet to pay his bills with.

Whether this costs Belle Vue a play-off spot remains to be seen but it doesn't matter because Swindon are crap anyway so nobody would hesitate on picking them in the play-offs if they're to make them.

And THIS is the problem with how speedway is organised - nobody does officially record these things, so that the information can be used to swiftly rule on such matters. Why are not all club signings logged and all the fixtures ( when first set or amended )? And WHO has decided this time? It seems to have been the rider himself.

They are both riding at Ipswich.        Love those fixed race nights!

Sweden's race night is Tuesday. L Lindgren missing for Newcastle @ Sheffield as racing in Sweden.

This is not the 1st time riders missing on foreign fixed night racing.

From tonights meeting we will need to be careful of Dimitri Berge at reserve for BV who scored 8 and 7 when he rode for Swindon.

Yes but he's up against Zach tonight which should knock a few points off of those points. Zach is flying now & won the National Grass Track championship last w/e.

Agree with that as Zach is going very well, but if Dimitri goes well he could get seven rides if any BV rider is having an off night.
