Swindon v Belle Vue 16 August

Recommended Posts

Well Rosco wasn't brave enough to leave either Adam or David out at the beginning of the season to get a better reserve in & it has come home to roost.

Also the only consistent thing about 4 of the top 5 all season is their inconsistency.

Well done Belle Vue as they really have stepped it up the last 2 nights.

Good luck to all 4 play off teams.

Great result for the Aces,

is top 4 back on ?  :)

I would suspect not given the meetings raced.

We are owed a point from our trip to Lynn. Literally.

I'd be interested to see what happens if we miss out by that single point.

Wayhay!  You can blame DC2 for all the crap he threw our way earlier this season. What goes around comes around and he who laughs last laughs longest.

The funniest bit is a Poole rider stuffing the Robins in heat 13 to give Belle Vue the win.

Hey DC2, cheer up, you might still make the playoffs and meet us in the semis. I see it made real sense to show faith in your 1-7 and not make changes. Well done to the Robins management for that one.:t:

Kurtz in 15. Trying to rub it in now

Wonder how long it will take SS to post?  Probably just waiting

And do you blame him? After the amount of emptyheads you get on Poole threads calling him out when they lose, he has every right to tbh!

nice to see that Darren Cooks been rather quiet lately!

Looks like Kurtz has done more than Cook would have done tonight.

But fear not Swindon fans, as next Wednesday your lot can get back the points you lost tonight when you come to Poole next Wednesday with our seriously weakened team. No Klindt (r/r) or Jackobsen (M Riss guests). The opportunity to rectify tonight. Will your lot take the points which will be virtually handed to you on a silver plate? Or will we see more choking like tonight?

That's a fair point but we won't go missing for months just because Swindon don't win the league like Steve has done on many occasions:)

It will be even funnier if Kurtz helps Belle Vue into the play offs and Poole get turned over by them. The Aces are certainly the most in form team at the moment.

Team relies on all riders chipping in especially the top 5, pundits had us down for 5th at best, sadly we've backed those predictions up, way to weak to be considered play off winners even if we miraculously make them.

Jackobsen is the least miss of the 2 for me. Klindt is the big one. He's going/trapping well and RR wont cover him. That said I still see Poole favourites for the win. But think the Robins will pick up a point due to Poole's weak team for this one.

We are 1 point ahead of Swindon now in points gained away vs home points lost

A superb effort from the Aces. On the gas from the get go and deservedly picking up the four on offer. A good team effort.

The Robins were slow to gate, with the exception of Troy and later on Alpen and looking mightily slow in behind, whereas The Aces were right in the mix even when missing the gate.

Some serious words need to be fired in to a few riders after that woeful performance.
