Think a lot of riders(home and away) seem to give up the the chase after a couple of laps as a lost cause due to speed and slick track nowadays.Riders win by length of strait then same rider gets beat by length of straight( race time same).Explain that to a newcomer.

Perhaps get the riders to explain?

Set-up would be the answer no doubt.

Pijper hasn’t ridden for Edinburgh for years. Yeah let’s give them a pat on the back and say at least you tried. Not the attitude to have if you want to win trophies and we’ve won a fair few take note. To say we don’t give our riders confidence is a good one obviously you’re in the Edinburgh pit every week then I take it.

Anyway on to the meeting Erik took 2 rides to get going, josh and the reserves were awful. Need to get out the gate at Berwick and we never done that all, gate 1 one was awful. Well done to the bandits on their victory was very much deserved, reserves won the meeting for them.

He rode for you’s last year numpty

Has that made you feel better after the football?

Your continual bitterness towards Edinburgh is rather dull without explanation.

Don't think any Monarchs fan went along tonight with any great confidence.  Look at the bandits reserves.

‘Look at the bandits reserves’... You have 3 riders who are well ahead of ANY of ours, you can’t use our reserves as an excuse:nono:They’re our reserves for a reason, your top 3 should of all done better and should of been beating our reserves and second strings.

Such a way with words.

As a injury replacement for Riss so was never getting kept on. Not signed then dropped as the poster was implying.

I'm sure they would not be as gullible to depart with £15 for that kind of entertainment.Surprised by the number of riders that just gave when in the rear last night.

My wife's 3rd meeting and she wasn't overly impressed again with the racing although she enjoyed the experience of Cardiff last year,a very gate and go meeting tonight.shame Pijper packed up in heat 15 he was looking good. Only 3 real passes of note. Berwick deserving winners pity Riss took his time to get going but it was lost at reserve. Shame Max seems to have lost he's way he looked like he had a decent future in his younger days riding for us. Big plus is 15 pound to get in,well run meeting just a shame about the lack of passing

Don’t think Max has ever found his way to ride bigger tracks let alone lost it. Our reserves were poor and while Josh is exciting to watch he needs to address his gating problems. Points make prizes and the Bandits won fair and square with a great team effort. We need our three heat leaders firing on all cylinders if we want to make play offs.

Ricky wells said he never made one change to his bike all night but when he was behind couldn’t catch the guy in front yet when he was in front was miles ahead.

Just content that he might make a gate in his next race then!?

Basically yes, didn’t gate that was that was the point he was trying to make. Gate 1 last night was horrific if you were off that you stood no chance.

Victor in heat 1 and Theo in heat 2 seemed to cope ok with gate 1 so it couldn't be horrific?

I seen a good few Monarchs gate and go into bend 1 in leading positions and come out bend 2 behind the Bandits (that's where the Monarchs probably lost the meeting with it happening various times).

Hardly a great advert for your No1 though is it, didn't make the gate that was that.

That is probably the one thing that really annoys me, when riders literally give up before the end of the race, I can except break downs, falls etc but a rider giving up is not acceptable.
