woofers 467 Posted August 13, 2018 Have to agree that Morley and Andrews gave it a good go. Also impressed with Ethan Spiller. Another positive was that it was completed by 9 o'clock. Unfortunately there were only 2 or 3 real races, not much passing or even challenging for a pass. Have to be honest, I have been going to Eastbourne for 14 years, through thick and thin, but if I had to watch what was served up on Saturday every week I would give it up. Be honest, would you take a newcomer to Speedway these days?
cityrebel 2,960 Posted August 13, 2018 Eastbourne should be in a higher league, but I doubt it will ever happen.

The problem for Eastbourne and others in the NL is that the Championship is far too close in terms of costs/quality to the Premiership. In fact, you can look at some line-ups in the Championship and they are as good, if not better, than the Prem. Look at how good NL riders struggle when they move up. Mike.Butler 601 Posted August 13, 2018 I agree that racing at Arlington can often be processional...but its my nearest track so beggars etc...
ruckerroo 790 Posted August 13, 2018 I wonder if all the changes that are mooted for next season will leave Eastbourne with little choice to move up

ruckerroo 790 Posted August 13, 2018 to my eyes the 3rd tiers almost dead, there are 4-5 sides so weak its hardly a league, bit like footy in lots of ways
