Sunday 9th September is the cut-off date for play-off qualification.

Ah thanks Neil. Wasn't sure on cut off date. Bit pointless reserving that date then!

Double header confirmed on twitter and BT sport. So nothing learned from last season when Busta said 'never again'. Disappointing.

Oh dear, not gonna end well. Double headers never do at the AFA.

In a period of 9 weeks covering half of May, June and half of July, they managed two home meetings! So who didn't see this coming? The same thing happens every bloody year.

Unbelievable really,we have 12 home matches in the league and we still have 5 to go.Plus a KO Cup semi final.

It’s not the double headers that the problem the problem is it’s the same team  on the same night who in there right mind could think that one up ? Absolute madness from the club . I no there is a cut off date but if  they can’t fit the small amount of meetings in between March and September without the need for double headers  there is something drastically wrong .

And then you have Guestfest after Guestfest as all three Leagues try to cram fixtures in on the same nights using the same riders..

As you say, "happens every bloody year"...

(With less and less people understandably watching it happen)...

The best summer for years too.....!

As much as they have refused to do it every year there are enough clubs in the top 2 leagues in fixture trouble that a 7 day extension might just soften the blow. Let's be honest this regime have done what they liked with the rules so why not make an exception for this one?

Nobody likes Double Headers,    least of all against the same team.     The fans don't like being late finishing and costing almost double,  The riders don't like  working twice as hard, putting double strain on the bikes,   The promotors don't like losing money, and have difficulty in making these fixture work..    Its a  tight schedule to fit in  2 meeting in a single night. All you need is a bad accident and the whole scenario goes to pot.   RR or 1 guest makes a tremendous difference to the timetable,    before we know it will be gone 11 before its finishes.   The result can be a massive gamble and are never in keeping with the recent form.

It would be far more feasible and sensible to run only one meeting for double points.     It cannot be logical to run  two meetings,  when the happening of the first  can only compound the second.     Utter madness.....

The trouble is they now have no choice, I agree there have been plenty of weeks to get these fixtures in but now that this meeting has been rained off for a second time it's either run a double header or miss the cut off so it's an easy decision.

Double headers certainly aren't ideal, especially against the same team. The whole fixture list needs a massive shake up for next year, it's not rocket science that people prefer regular speedway.

Monday 10 September is reserved on official fixture list. Wonder why they don't use that as the re-run date.

We've also got Leicester to fit in again following the original abandonment.

I think we can probs blame the Championship promoters who voted against Mondays and Thursdays for this predicament!!

I would move the cut off date, the league should be able to run til the end of October after all and after the terrible weather at the start of the season, it makes sense.

On the money Mr Webb. Why do they not consider this as an option? Or even explain their thinking on why they have chosen a doubleheader after the " Never Again" debacle? Sadly it's true the KLS promotion do not learn from the recent past and seem incapable of learning. That is why things will continue to go downhill at Saddlebow Road.
