Boycotting meetings only kills the promoter.  That is not the answer Hawk.

Well it was blindingly obvious to most in the stadium that the main instigator of the postponement was a certain GP rider (and I use the term loosely) who was waving his arms about while kicking  the track . He obviously was doing his best to persuade others not to ride either .

I'm sorry but my personal opinion of him gets lower by the minute !

Soon to be ex GP rider.....

Perhaps promoters (in this case CL) should have the power to fine Team/ riders  who refuse to ride? Especially in case like today when postponement causes loss of revenue?

I hope Drew keeps his options open and continues with his formal education, because based on tonight's events the future of speedway in this country isnt exactly looking bright.

And doing nothing panders to those riders who hold everyone to ransom. Years back this would rarely have happened and the riders would have respect for the fans for giving it a go. Now it is two fingers to everyone. Furthermore if a clubs financial position is that precarious that any form of protest is going to bring it to its knees, the so beit but blame the instigators who are those riders whose refusal to get a meeting on is seriously taking the whole issue to another level. With these amateurs the sport is beyond redemption and these riders are almost asking to be out of work. They fail to look at the bigger picture and if they cannot hack it do something different but don’t take the p... out of the supporters

The ref has seen enough wet or dangerous speedway tracks of his years and he thought it was okay, so why didn't he start the meeting? Or at least say we will race the first 4 heats and then go from there.

I also believe the club when asked on social media if it's on or not should tell the truth, and say the track will be undergoing track work until the start time when a final decision will be made.

Dont disagree that riders have too much say in the UK.     THe GP on Saturday was a wet track but it rode well.   In there defence it's there body on the line.   Its a hard one but boycotting meetings hits the promoter, he still has to pay riders.

How convenient that the cut off date has been extended:mad: still absolutely furious that this was allowed to happen, certain riders had no intention of riding, pity our boys didn't "test" the track for a few laps before throwing in the towel.

Asked him that question, he needed our boys to all say yep we'll give it a go, but you know who broke ranks, so he can't force the issue.

Everyone knows the best way to get the track in condition is for bikes to be going around on it turning it over

It has always been a case of their body on the line. Don’t disagree on that but these are suppose to be professional riders who should adapt to conditions. Anything less than perfect (and that is a personal preference) then one or two more influential individuals can sway things for a who.e team. However if they know that they are not going to get paid they may consider the options.  Maybe the pay structure is wrong but with a crap season, poor fixtures fans drifting away in droves you would think that some riders who apparently depend on a living from speedway might think of the bigger picture. Let’s see how many clubs survive into 2019 with whatever daft revamp the BSPA have come up with. The powers that be have lost the plot and the riders think they are bigger than the sport itself. Both deserve each other but few deserve the loyal support of the fans

Got to feel sorry for Chris Louis and all the track men tonight all that hard work for nothing. He did everything the riders asked and then they still refuse to ride.

When they interviewed Tai at the Grand Prix Saturday he said we as riders can ride wet tracks but not when it's raining. So what happened today. Cook rode Saturday, but threw his dummy out again tonight. The Glasgow riders looked like they never had any intention to ride and if we had a different Captain than Rory it might have gone on. They should've sent one rider out from each team to try the track, to not even give it a go is a disgrace.

The two Captains obviously don't give two s**** about the fans who pay their wages as I've never seen them move so fast running back into the pits when asked to explain themselves on the mic.

People seem to forget these guys don’t get paid if they don’t ride. It’s very easy to sit here and say they should’ve done this that and the next thing. Im sure the decision wasn’t taken lightly.
