I don't think so, there will never be another Darcy, Lambert and the rest of them can only dream what he use to do on a bike

Totally agree, it's just a shame his off track antics overshadowed his on track performances. He was a great team rider who could deliver on any track. Ronnie Moore was a naturally gifted motorcyclist, so was Michael Lee And Darcy Ward. Three great riders that made it look so easy.

Chris Harris back to his best tonight

Kurtz was a joke

i think most speedway fans like it when Poole fail only 13 riders used hope Matt Fords gang  come unstuck in the quest for

silverware

That’s not true. When Darcy arrived at Poole he was good but not brilliant. He was also a “cheeky” rider who could read the track one lap ahead of his competition but, he did make mistakes and, he didn’t win every race. He became brilliant in the following years and was the brains behind the “Turbo Twins” duo.. In my opinion, for what it’s worth, Robert Lambert, year for year, could be on par to DW.

time will tell, unfortunately we will never know how good he could have been

I wouldn't offer Brady a team place next year. I don't see the hype tbh.

But they will, cos he'll have a low average.

One of the best tracks in the country?
Slick, bumpy, and not a lot of passing...

Very true. Yet again another trip to Somerset and yet again a not very good meeting.

But before anyone thinks it’s sour grapes, well done to Somerset on a relatively easy win over a lacklustre pirates.

Only one good race with Harris battling with Holder, the rest was very average fodder with hardly any outside passing. The home team took advantage of knowing the only passing line was right around the inside and the Poole guys just didn’t twig this until it was too late. Get up the inside and you are made. No matter how hard you try to blast around the outside, you will just go backwards.

Doyle was untouchable tonight and a class above, backed up by Holder. Pirates just don’t have that kind of firepower and Kurtz had another mare. In fact none of the Pirates heat leaders covered themselves in glory. Very poor. Best Poole riders were Klindt who battled all night, and Woryna, another who gave his all. Special mention to Freddie Jakobsen on his first ever visit and battled well.

A poor Pirates performance and a 12 point defeat. Not good enough in a playoff meeting. Looks like it’s going to be Somersets to lose and in all honesty would take a major choke for them not to end up as champions.

But at least he apologises to fans on twitter unlike some Aussies who have had more than one bad meeting for us this season.

Also how come when Harris has a bad meeting he gets replaced in H13 but Brady never does!!

Harris likes to race. The track didn’t allow much in the way of racing and Harris’s blasts around the outside sent him backwards.

Doesn't explain why Brady never gets replaced though..

Sorry to @poolespeedway management and fans tonight. I couldn't get out of the starts tonight, used both bikes but couldn't find a set up for the track. Deffo a gaters track tonight. Disappointed but onwards & upwards, see you at Wimbourne Rd on Wednesday night ☠#piratepride

Covatti's gutsy from-the-back passing of Kurtz and Woryna was my pick of tonight's racing. First meeting this year at Oak Tree where the racing was quite pedestrian. Usually it's been spectacular, especially for outside line passing.

Then clearly the Somerset promotion set the track up to stop the Pirates racers from having any chance tonight. No outside passing at all. Always hear how good it is but the numerous meetings have never been spectacular.

Didn't take too many meetings for the Wimbourne Road Faithful to get back to there old carping ways and whinging at just about everything. Why can't you lot be gracious in defeat for once !!! You were stuffed !!! End of !!!

A good meeting to watch on the box. Close racing made the meeting one of the best this season.

Somerset way to easy tho, expected more from Poole tho. At least they contributed to a great night of racing.
