GREEN lights cannot go on until the start marshal has moved away

the start marshal was clearly in contact with the referee throughout each race, the green light would've stopped all the ridiculous and unnecessary actions of the start marshal and in turn eliminated this whole fiasco.

LET'S not over react here. It hasn't happened before probably won't again.

the trouble is, it has happened and has every possibility of happening again because nothing has been changed for it not to happen..

Nothing that the paying punters have been made aware of has been changed, but those "in the know" are fully informed it seems.

NOTHING NEEDS TO BE DONE just a few riders need to understand one of the fundamental.principles of the sport from down the years.
Be at the tapes and be 100% ready to race when the 2 minutes expires.
And you will NOT be excluded.

Bugger about as it expires and you cannot have that certainty.
It's your risk.

States it all really. Perhaps Saturday nights fiasco resulting in 1 exclusion would have more effect if all 4 had been excluded.  I say that because in a later race even more time was wasted and it went unpunished.

Again, being "at the tapes" isn't the point; they need to be "ready to race". If you look closely at Greg on the inside, he wasn't actually ready either!

And how many of the 4 are ready to race? None

makes your picture irrelevant

Saturdays heat 16 episode would be more palatable if 1) the riders were warned (that after such a slack application of the rules) the rule on 2 min and be ready to race is being tightened (they may have been warned, we don't know)  2) the application of the rule was consistent (which it wasn't even in that meeting)

If the riders were truly ready to race no one would have been excluded.

That is all they needed to be.

It is that simple.

so in essence the referee was incorrect and unprofessional

Id be willing to accept that if it wasnt for Zmarzlik waving to him 30 sec before tapes up..

Your are correct Hancock had the nerve to say in SS that he was not surprised Woffy got excluded as he was ready with 2 SECONDS TO SPARE.The riders need to get a grip most of them are there with a minute to go then start playing silly games.
