Workington v Ipswich 18/08/2018 Ch 7:00pm

Recommended Posts

So this week Worky go in search of another home win to try and boost their chances of getting that elusive play off place.

Dan Bewley is missing from the Comets side as he is riding for Britain in Denmark in the under 21 World Cup.

The weather forecast says heavy cloud all day but for no rain.:)

Squeaky bum this one with Worrall covatti and schlein and if heeps comes to the party we'll have our hands full, especially with Dan the man absent

Can say that again

It'll be a close one but going to say 47-43 Workington's way

Jenga giving Rory stick on the Witches/Glasgow thread

Only 1 answer required from Rory - 15 points....:P

Witches need something from this one - a revenge away win would go down nicely

Be nice to Baldy if it happens :D

If they prepare a well watered track the whinger would probably score 5pts at most ...

Schlein does ride well here, Cumberland Open champion this year but.....confident of a comfortable win for Comets 53-37. ;)

Not saying he hasnt deserved many of the comments in the last 24 hours - just that there is only 1 worthwhile response

Weather still looking ok, cloudy but no rain forecast, the track had a good natural water yesterday so will hopefully provide some good racing.

The usual texter to the updates sure isn’t sure if he’ll make the meeting tonight, is anyone able to text just in case he doesn’t? Message me here or text me or Sue.

Potentially a very close meeting this one, shame Dan is missing again he really was superb in his last appearance at Derwent Park . Hopefully all the lads will be fired up, sharp and determined to cover well for Dan's scheduled rides. The Witches have superb racers in Covatti and Schlein and a top gater in guest Stevei Worrall who is working his way back into top form following injury. Couple this with solid second strings Heeps and Riss and its a very solid top five. Having Rene at reserve is hopefully where we will have the edge so here's hoping he has a big meeting. Kyle is showing signs of getting to grips with racing at this level and hopefully he can get some more very useful points against Garcia and interesting debutant Drew Kemp who much like Kyle hasn't long been sixteen and is very highly rated. Should be a great track tonight after yesterdays rain so get down for what should be a really entertaining fixture from two sides looking for points in a quest to reach the playoffs. Be there or be square. Up the Comets !!!!
