...for riders new to the league. Whether intended or not, it leaves the door open for riders who previously qualified through patriality to return to the league.

Reading some on the Poole thread, Chris Holder may not be able to ride in the UK again next year . If he does I can't see him being anywhere else other than Poole myself. But as you know, it's speedway and anything can happen :t:

Won’t Holder be an 8 point rider next season?

Missed the uk but rode in the gp’s

Or is that another rule that has been changed

Not what I was asking

I was asking if gp riders from last season that didn’t ride over here would now be an 8 average

Chris Holder, Piotr Pawlicki and Matej Zagar are the 3 that spring to mind

Piotr Pawlicki 8.00 as rule is GP rider in last three years and that's the figure he would return to Wolves on once he decides which leagues he is going to ride in just as another rider would who is looking at more meetings.

Would you care to post a link to the regulation that confirms that?

It came in last year and this is why Martin Vaculik eventually started on an 8 point average and not 9 as first thought.

Any rider that had been in the GP Series in the last three seasons and didn't have an average in Britain OR had an average below 8 but never rode the previous season here would start on an 8.00 minimum average.

Don't know where you can find a link but that was the ruling they eventually settled on.

There is a regulation that states tgat an average MAY be reassessed if a rider has not ridden in the league for more than 3 seasons

There is one that states that those riders NEW to the league will be assessed in line with their ability and experience

However nowhere is there one that states those riders in the GP (now or previous period) who have an existing average within the stated timscales will also be reassessed
