Skidder1 7,632 Posted September 25, 2019 Best wishes to Terry Russell for a successful and speedy recovery following his surgery. He wants to keep JD in the Robins team for next year as he is 'box-office' (quite right too!)and hopes the AGM doesn't diminish the standard yet again as its not necessary. He's also hopeful of an 8-team Premiership in 2020.

So if retained we may have to lose Batch then.

robins les 53 Posted September 26, 2019 We will probably have to lose riders as our current team total is 45.26 & can not change now, as playoff scores do not count towards points averages. Logically, the team averages will not rise above 42.5, as this is the maximum number of points available based on 4 rides.

Never liked that rule - if a team wants to build top heavy as opposed to strength in depth then that’s surely up to them.

I agree, Cradley did that every season from 84 and never won the league

Grachan 7,314 Posted September 27, 2019 So, if there is one rider over 8 allowed, I would guess that we will lose Batch, Tobias (who has hinted at not riding in the UK next year) and Vissing (who has a bit of a "one season" look about him - but may still be in if the averages fit). That gives us: Doyle: 8.96 Jensen 7.86 Ellis 6.49 Perks 3.57 Total: 26.88 with 15.62 remaining. So: Morris 5.38 & Bellego 5.80 then leaves 4.44 for the final rider. Vissing is 4.43. Sorted.
