Cant see Nichol coming back this season, why waste money on air fares when we already have riders based here who can complete the season for us

Hope he is back next season though

Ooops!

Dropping Drew Kemp... how brilliant, what a club! Always encouraging our finest British talents to progress in the sport, lets have him in the main body all season then drop him after 1 away meeting at reserve, why couldn’t it of been McDonald?

What a barmy decision and an expensive one? Unless of course Sheffield are still footing the bill for Nicol's visa qualification in which case they might save a few quid? Its unlikely that Drew was going to return next year as he just didn't seem to take that well to the track however its another import chosen over a Brit which stinks a little. Im sure Drew will drop in somewhere and be able to shave a bit off his average ready for next year.

There must be more to this than meets the eye. Sheffield have done nothing proactive all season, including giving a rider to Leicester, so why bother with a needless change now when the season is over?

Money?  Not sure if its Sheffield or Hagon that that is sponsoring him to be in the UK (i suspect it hasto be the club he is registered too?) i don't know the exact figures but im certain that the club has to supply accommodation and a basic salary as a minimum so if Nicol is fit they might as well get something for the expenditure (as they are not exactly getting any value for money from Kennedy or MacDonald either)

Terrible decision IMO, it seems a rush back for Nicol as well.  Poor Drew has been forced into riding at second string for most of the season due to the averages, and as soon as he gets back to reserve (and top scores, no less), he's dropped! I know he isn't our asset and all that but it seems bloody harsh at this stage.

would imagine any Club in with a chance of a trophy would be interested in Drew?

wonder if Leicester / Redcar / Glasgow / Newcastle / Eastbourne are pondering a move?

If that happens, the sport is finished.

Why a terrible decision.o.k might be s bit of a gamble on his fitness but before his injury he was in the best form ever.also need him for the tight turns at Eastbourne and edinbro.while there is still a remote sniff of the play offs at least the management still seem to be doing something about it.good luck broc and the rest of the team.

if Sheffield don't want him why would you say sport is finished and why would you deny the kid employment...

if you deny a British kid a chance to ride elsewhere then that's far worse in my opinion.

Numbers game though. Can't see Leicester making a double swap to fit him in. If Eastbourne were going to make changes i think they would have gone for Nicol themselves given his record at Arlington & Hagon connections. Redcar might shuffle about as he has to be worth more than Kasper Andersen. This is where there should be incentive to sign / keep British riders. Lets face it there are many who would love the deals some of the visa riders come over on.

One rider has already been moved over the the senior club. How can you support a team where, if a jointly owned team is doing better, riders are moved to strengthen that team?

"Poor Drew" ............. The management knew he would move into the main body almost as soon as the season started & hoped he would do well. Maybe he did ok but not as well as expected plus your reserves did not step up sufficiently to send him back to reserve & often swap positions.

If Buster Chapman can get away with moving riders around others will do the same

Drew for Danny Ayres?  At least the track will suit his style more.

Worth a punt and keep a young Brit employed for a few more meetings
