Edinburgh vs Glasgow, SGB Championship, 24th August, 2018, 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

Teams as per Official Edinburgh website:-

STAGGS BAR MONARCHS: Ricky Wells, Victor Palovaara, Josh Pickering, Richie Worrall, Erik Riss (captain), William Lawson, Joel Andersson.

ALLIED VEHICLES TIGERS: Ben Barker (Guest), Nathan Greaves (if fit), Chris Harris (captain), Paul Starke, Claus Vissing, James Sarjeant, Jack Thomas.

Due to Craig Cook missing  for the Polish Grand Prix, Tigers have recruited the all action Ben Barker as a Guest replacement.

If Nathan Greaves is unable to return for this match, then R/R will apply with Paul Starke & the Reserves able to cover his rides, though a TS is also a possibilty, should Tigers be six points behind for his scheduled 2nd & 4th programmed rides.

For Monarchs this will be the third consecutive match in 3 days for Wells & Worrall, and the fourth in three days for Erik Riss,  so it will be an endurance test for men & machine in their case.

Don’t know how this one will go. Would settle for 50 40  but

a) which Ben Barker will turn up?

b) Hope tracks is  like a fortnight ago and not last week.

c) Starke and Serjeant can be handy round Dale if they gate. Bomber all gives it a 100%. Vissing quite handy this year.

d) Need our reserves scoring. Maybe Lawson will have a new Hoover engine.

e) Come on Richie

See from other sites some Tigers fans a bit disappointed with cookies replacement. Hope it doesn't affect the crowd and Ben proves them wrong, At least Redcar aren't contenders for the play offs and you can be sure he'll give it a go Despite this optimism easy win for monarchs

If Edinburgh don't hit 60 with there home track advantage then you will need to question there commitment.;)

Something wrong with this thread. We've yet to have the Monarchs fsithful on here predicting a home defeat like they usually do .

Great pity for everybody that Cook won’t be there.

Would have thought Glasgow would have been better going with r/r for Cookie allowing anyone an extra ride and a guest for Greaves if he's not fit.
But then again nothing should surprise us with Glasgow's managers tactics (or lack of them)

It really depends on which Barker turns up,he is worth the admission money alone when in the mood and a decent bike.
