Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted August 23, 2018 After seeing off Swindon last night at Wimborne Road to put a huge dent in the Robins chance of defending the championship, all roads lead to Blunsdon on bank holiday Monday evening for the return. Swindon must win this one to keep that flicker of a chance of making the playoffs open. Around Blunsdon they are a force and it’s difficult to get a result here. Pirates normally come up a bit short and I am expecting a similar situation on Monday night, with the Robins home advantage just a bit too much for Pirates, who will have come through one hell of a tussle with Somerset just a few hours earlier. Both teams should be at full strength, baring any disaster earlier in the day. Should imagine there will be a huge Pirates following coming up for this and a very big crowd. Looking forward to it. auntie doris 2,339 Posted August 23, 2018 (edited) After a run of 7 wins 1 draw against the Poirates the present Robins team has only won 3 out of last 11 so would expect a narrow Knobs win here. Edited August 23, 2018 by auntie doris
Skidder1 7,632 Posted August 23, 2018 I think theres a fair chance that all of the Pirates will be well knackered by the time they get to Blunsdon after looking at their respective weekend schedules.

A ORLOV 8,628 Posted August 23, 2018 Swindon need to win this by more than 6 points, and the home meeting against BV later, to get back into the playoff group. Luckily the teams above us race against each other other which will help Swindon slightly, but only if we win.

It's not over till the fat bird sings orlovski but on current form will be shocked if Swindon beat Poole and Belle Vue and scrape into playoffs. Hope the weather is ok Edited August 23, 2018 by auntie doris

Swindon can only get 38 points so no chance they will finish above The current top three. The only chance is if Belle Vue lose at home, and considering one of those is v Wolves, and If wolves win that doesn't help swindon in the slightest. Swindon need Somerset to win at Belle Vue and Wolves or there out I think.
thecoombdog 2,367 Posted August 23, 2018 40-50 Poole. The all round strength of Poole will be too much and Kurtz loves Blunsdon so expect at least 12 from him.

I do appreciate that even if we win both our home meetings we need others to lose
