Belle Vue v Somerset PL 5th September, 2018

Recommended Posts

This meeting has now been brought forward from the 10th September. A sensible move for both teams rather than risk the chance of rain on the last day before the cut off for the play offs.

This is going to be a difficult meeting for the Aces. Yes, we defeated Wolves relatively easily without Dan Bewley and r/r scoring one point but Somerset are a completely different proposition. They ride well at the NSS and the loss of Dan makes us much weaker. However, this is a must win if we are to get to the play offs and I am sure that Mark Lemon will have everyone fired up.

At least Tungate can take a extra R/R from Sept 1

Thought BT Sport might have wanted to show it on the 10th ?

This is a tough match especially without Dan and could go either way.

It's a shame BT didn't reserve some nights for the key end of season meetings and this is certainly one that should be on. Will ensure a bumper crowd though

Dan scored 14+2 in the 47-43 win last time. Considering his replacements on Monday fail to beat an opponent and gained only one point, you have to say we haven’t a cat in hells chance of winning this. :(
