Seriously though why didnt he borrow a bike. If the first bike blew on warm up and the second was playing up, surely after 2 heats at most you abandon what hasnt been working and go to plan B. Was looking a bit ominous for the Comets early on with Klindt Barker and Proctor not looking on the pace. Rasmus Jensen was superb with his heat 6 win a great ride. Wells Riss and Worrall very good for Monarchs along with Pickering who put in some good efferts. Heat 15 was shaping up to be a cracker until the fall, hope the lads ok. Thought they would have re run it as it was only the second lap. But well done to the Comets for the win and the Monarchs for making it such a good meeting. Thanks for coming up bellevueace pleased you enjoyed it.

scaramanga 895 Posted September 1, 2018 (edited) rasmus really turning out to be a great rider fantastic tonight nice to see kyle looking much more competitive some really really good racing tonight 1 thing for sure is that the dry rock hard tracks weve had recently need to be a thing of the past the little rain before the meeting done the track good still a bit dusty at times but hey the action on track spoke for its self give the riders a good race track and they will entertain like they did tonight wonder if rasmus needs to go to 3 or 4 and move dans r/r or guest to no 2 rasmus and rene at 3 and 4 might work a treat Edited September 1, 2018 by scaramanga
Endeavour 681 Posted September 1, 2018 Just in from Workington. Think we deserved the point and Monarchs were a tad fortunate with Nicolai having bike problems. Reserves for Workington tanked our two so well done to young Kyle. Any two from our top 4 could have been in heat 15. On reflection maybe would have put Ricky off 4. Hope both of us make play offs, Laura deserves it.

Great to see that sort of attitude from a guest when we have seen others (mentioning no names) guesting and appearing not to give a monkeys after scoring big points here with their own team. As already stated a very enjoyable meeting with special mentions this week to Rasmus, Rene and Kyle. Hopefully Nicolai can get his machinery issues sorted this week, as that could have easily cost us tonight.

cometbaz 67 Posted September 2, 2018 Excellent meeting last night. Thouroughly enjoyed it with plenty of passing. Klindt had a night to forget Rasser was superb Ben Barker an excellent choice of guest and always seemed to be trying his hardest Rene had a good night after a slow start and showed the type of determination we know he is capable of Ty does not seem as sharp as he did a month or two ago when he was guesting for everyone and banging big scores in everywhere but did OK Kyle did well again and it was good to see him getting points after a brave pass down the back straight when plenty of others would have shut off. I'm so pleased he is finally getting his rewards at this level Mason had a solid night but definitely needs faster machinery as proved by Nicolai when he borrowed his bike He was first out of the start but struggled to hold third Just a thought but if a rider like Klindt last night, blows a bike up in the pits when warming up, couldn't Hoggy announce it to the crowd? If we knew what was happening it would be less frustrating for us and we would feel more sympathetic towards the rider concerned

As you say its no wonder the racing was very good. If all tracks provided good track conditions the riders would produce, then promoters might see an increase on the terraces. Last night underlined how entertaining this sport can be given the right conditions.

The track is the most important thing to make a good meeting, far too many excuses are make when track prep is poor at a number of tracks. Its no co-incidence that natural watering by God always produces a good track.
