Guest GiveusaB Posted August 31, 2018 Did the fear of facing Bacon/Kemp/Ayres/Flint, have anything to do with it???

Guest GiveusaB Posted August 31, 2018 (edited) Either way.....the smelling of a 'rat' springs to mind? I'm sure some Brum fans will be 'fuming' with the fact that they've made non-refurndable costs towards accommodation/travel for the trip??? A lot of clubs struggle for ideas to bring fans in to the sport.....but they certainly don't struggle in finding a way to drive supporters away? Halifaxtiger 5,318 Posted August 31, 2018 Plymouth have cited difficulties with drainage in the past, particularly around high tide times.
00000 1,279 Posted August 31, 2018 In this age, I think any speedway fan who makes an hotel booking that cannot be cancelled up until on the day is being silly with their money. It'd worth paying a few quid more to have that facility.

Not really , we enjoy seeing good talent ride our track....I don't think anyone would have enjoyed what they would have been walking around in though. A Bouncy Castle theme park for kids on weds/thurs meant the facilities were over used. Danny Ayres is a real racer, we love him down our way and I was looking forward to seeing how Leon Flint rode the track for the first time. It just follows the run of bad luck we've had this season. Brummie Kev 519 Posted August 31, 2018 There's no doubt in mind the call off is genuine and having seen the picture of the track its the right decision. At the end of the day calling this match off would be the last thing the Plymouth promotion would have wanted. The cut off is about 3 weeks away and with them just outside the playoffs a call off is the last thing they need. Also like any club they lose money for having to call meetings off, this meeting would have had a good crowd for sure esp with it being the last friday in August. Just one of them things.
