Diamond cup final round Sunday October 14th live on the internet

Recommended Posts

I gave up on it. Just a terrible format. Long gaps between heats, with the format so bad some riders are coming out for their third ride against ridrrs who are making their first. Bad.

This heat arrangement would seem to be a good way to diminish interest in the sport.

Hopefully future rounds can field 16 riders and a more sensible format.

They like long meetings as well. BBQ, friends, some racing.

Few years ago we had a speedway meeting in Blijham which ended in like 2 hours. Result was that everybody was moaning that it was such a short event.

And if they do so, how would that pan out for riders? given that the major prize is based on progressive points.

Those added to the rider list would be unlikely to feature in the thick end of prize money.

I can see that 1st prize is a nice little hatchback, 2nd prize a pushbike, can't quite make out what 3rd is, could it be a white line marker?

So who gets the white line marker?

I don't know, just got up for work, gave up on that after 4 races, helped me sleep though.

It is why I like speedway in Denmark and not too keen on Longtrack.Denmark rattle through quickly with few breaks and often here in Germany even speedway meetings take for ever, but Longtrack more so.The difference is most tracks in Germany and France only have one or two meetings a year and try to make the most of it in terms of dragging things out to maximize money taken for food and drink etc and also to give this feeling of a festival, whereas in Denmark tracks are hosting meetings on a regular basis

Shambles of a competition - line- up is rubbish  https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/relacja/92544/ii-runda-sdc-w-motali

Why didn't you start a thread on the Veenoord Golden helmet and tell everyone how rubbish that was?

Cant really understand the negativity regarding this... At least not all of it.

What a rubbish line-up that was in Holland https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/relacja/93223/turniej-o-zloty-kask-w-veenoord  :)

Back to the Diamond cup

1st round couldn`t even get 16 riders and ended up with 13 in such a cr&p format it was "two on the trot" in every race.

2nd round must have been around 8 changes- no Internet or Polish TV coverage

Round 3 Krsko there will be one man and his dog watching!!

Round 4 is in doubt because the city of Rzeszow are not prepared to stump up any cash to support the round there- and why should they support such a " Mickey mouse" event
