Is the sport still state funded? A lot of teams struggle as the sport funding for many of the regions was sucked away to pay for the World Cup, so Speedway & Ice Speedway have suffered. The crowds appear to averaging around the 900-1000 mark, which appear to be down on previous years too. Maybe they have the same problems as us in that the die hards are keeping the sport going

Conkers 67 Posted January 30, 2019 The draw for the Ice Speedway Gladiators Final 1 this weekend in Almaty, Kazahkstan: 919 Dmitri Khomitsevich MFR Russia 58 Stefan Svensson SVEMO Sweden 33 Johann Weber DMSB Germany 16(WC) Sergei Serov AMFK Kazakhstan 5 Vladimir Cheblokov AMFK Kazakhstan 665 Charly Ebner AMF Austria 333 Daniil Ivanov MFR Russia 100 Franky Zorn AMF Austria 192 Niclas Svensson SVEMO Sweden 106 Dmitri Koltakov MFR Russia 97 Ove Ledström SVEMO Sweden 88 Max Niedermaier DMSB Germany 181 Andrei Shishegov AMFK Russia 114 Dinar Valeev MFR Russia 383 Nikita Toloknov MFR Russia 199 Martin Haarahiltunen SVEMO Sweden Reserve Denis Slepuchin AMFK Kazakhstan Reserve Pavel Nekrassov AMFK Kazakhstan German Stefan Pletschacher isn't riding due to injury, and from what I can gather it was too late for first reserve Jimmy Tuinstra to get to Almaty, so they used veteran Vladimir Cheblokov. Never heard of this wildcard Sergei Serov. Jesper has put up the live links, and if the FIM update their app in time, then the results should be on there Its also the Russian Junior Team Championship in Togliatti this weekend, so if there is a live feed I'll try and post it. DutchGrasstrack 804 Posted January 30, 2019 Servov won a qualifier event earlier this year, so that's why he's the wildcard. Pletschacher hopes to be back in Shadrinsk. Tuinstra was called on monday, but it's not possible for them to get to Kazakhstan in time.
