For not just away riders but our own. As I said earlier the track has been grippy the last 4 weeks at the riders request but a raceable grippy, tonight they had over done it not deliberately as some would suggest or like to assume cause it suits there agendas better. I’m sure normal services will be resumed next week. It doesn't matter how much spin you put on it, it's not going to go away and should your season finish with more trophies , any gained in 2018 will be seen as a very hollow victory and looked on with disdain from the rest of British speedway fans .

I suppose you better then hope that Joe punter is happy to pay another £18.50 on Friday to watch the Berwick meeting and not feel that he was ripped off last night. Yeah everyone is going to look back to the year 2018 in 10 years time and talk about that league match that the track was made far too grippy against lakeside.

Grippy & dangerous are two different things though.

The track is one of the best prepared surfaces in British speedway normally and last night for some reason they got it wrong, just need to move on and learn from the mistakes that were made last night. Not a lot can be done about it now.

MD 1,299 Posted September 8, 2018 All in all it suggests lack of confidence, that in facing arguably the strongest opposition of the season they had to manipulate the track to ensure a close run meeting didnt happen. If the track staff got the grippy track right for the 3 home meetings prior to this one, it would suggest that last night didnt happen by accident.
