Somerset v Poole. Playoff Semi Final 1st Leg. 17/9/18

Im not convinced. He has been poor all year everywhere.

Interesting comment, would be intriguing to see who it might have been. Heard Pawlicki (Piotr) was linked to come to Poole wether that would have been on his actual 7+ plus average or the reassessed 9 rumoured for GP standard riders.

None of the Poles were affordable despite positive discussions with Dudek, Pawlicki and at least one other.  Thats why the plan B became  Brady at 1 with the hope that Holder hit form straight away and takes over the Number 1 spot from the first or second set of averages. All water under the bridge now as we know what happened.

Still Bomber at 1 for the second leg at home will make for an interesting scenario.

You can't win a Championship with one rider, the others need to play their part, and no way did i think Somerset would do as well as they have, as all the pundits thought in the S. Star at the beginning of the season !

.

No true you can't but it helps if you have a rider that can win most of his races, so Somerset have got a good team and made some good changes like Covatti and Summers who have done well for them. It isn't the team you start with that is important its the team you finish with. Somerset are clear favourites and as such will be under pressure to finish the job.

Nobody fancied Lynn or Somerset for the Play Offs let alone the title, if the final is between those two teams it would be quite remarkable.

Its very open though, a Belle Vue v Poole final wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest.

No different than swindon last season they were written of before the season started and look what happened . so having a rider of jason class does help

Of course it helps, but he cannot win a meeting by himself.

Never was a number 1 really even when he rode for us

He isn’t for us either but ends up top of the averages.  How we could have done with Chris Holder right now.

That is the great thing about this year all teams have a good chance. I think Somerset to win though.

Agree. Believe the winner will be from the Somerset v Poole side of the draw. But all four teams are in with a shout. Just needs a couple of riders to stand up and be counted when it matters to swing things in their teams favour.

A shame we have a week gap. Would be better to be riding at Somerset tomorrow night.

Kurtz still crap in Poland im afraid maybe he could do with the rest. Woryna and Klindt going well although they are not in the top league.
